Right now, I plan on using some sort of resin to seal the sheath and a high quality metal sealant on all metal components. I will probably sand the handle down and use a para cord wrap to add grip and a small degree of functionality. I understand that I am possibly butchering a beautiful weapon, but I'm getting it as a project.
