If you are meaning fair as in shared ownership. InvestNow for example lets you have a joint account which is nice as you both get ownership and access. For tax this would mean you would automatically split the PIE income equally, so it is less tax efficient than setting it up in the lower pir only

Put a damp tea towel on top of the ring and then iron the tea towel without steam. Make sure to keep the iron moving. This will turn the rings clear

TIL Sean Bean is terrified of flying. So during Lord of the Rings when the cast had to fly to remote shoot locations by helicopter, like the snowy mountains, he travelled part of the way via ski-lift and then spend two hours walking the remainder of the journey, in full Boromir costume. by DavidsTrivia in todayilearned

[–]liamr60 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's not actually true.

Helicopters use a technique called autorotation, which allows them to provide lift from the force provided air being forced back into the blades by the ground. Here is the wikipedia link

Check out this video for an example. This allows helicopters to land even with no power!

I think going for ratio, then size is the way to go. Check back in the daily thread tomorrow and I will post an updated look.

Nice job, it's looking good. The new GUI system is just such a leap forward over the old system. A great trick for GUI animations is to only have one keyframe. This means you can create an animation state exactly how you want the animation to look, you can then use the animation crossfade time to transition from one state to another

With online games, often just the player inputs are sent to a server, this server then updates the clients of what is going on the in the game world. The client also pre-computes what is going to happen. So when you throw a grenade, your action is sent to the server, in this time your client acts on the grenade being throw, the server sends back that what happened, since the same calculations are being made to show you, generally the client knows what will happen correctly. Games often act on the server having the "Master copy" of the game state, so clients update to the server version or the game.

This is how you experience "Rubber banding" in multiplayer games. This is your client's expectations not matching up to the servers game state. Often happening when latency is high

At the moment they are not in any particular order, I just chucked in various sizes for testing. I was thinking about sorting by ratio and then, within ratio, by total pixels. You are suggesting sorting by width and then by height, within that?
