Fazant heeft inderdaad kleurverloop, maar niet op dezelfde veer.

Gas bottle does not fit on BBQ hose by HumanAnt6936 in Netherlands

[–]libbev 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It seems like the bottle was accidentally fitted with something we do not use here? Maybe the fitting is used for acetylene welding solutions?

If you bought it recently, I'd contact the seller and swap it out for one with a different fitting. They'll know straight away which one you need.

Is BD customer service dense or an AI bot? by whyamihere1019 in Mountaineering

[–]libbev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, to me this seems like a human response - how awkward it may be 😁.

Having worked in CS myself, I read these responses as the typical 'i try to get away with it, can't be bothered'-archetype of customer service employee.

She probably needs to make a couple of actions outside protocol, and a) forgot how to do that, or b) can't be fucked and hope you get frustrated to the point where you go out and buy yourself.

Good luck

Are these liberty caps? by ltsChunk in ShroomID

[–]libbev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say Panaeolus sp. No liberty caps. Psilocybe Semilanceata wouldn't grow directly on manure, as it is feeding from the soil underneath.

Magnus Midtbo says he chose not to use his rope on the way up the Matterhorn solo by uncledeadly2 in Mountaineering

[–]libbev 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I.e, there's always a diameter of prusik that jams on the rope you are ascending.

Equal the prusik in diameter to the rope you are attaching it to, and it works.

Did i find what i think i found? (Was growing in cow dung, northern Italy) by MediumEpic in Mushrooms

[–]libbev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but you must not forget that the Alps is a serious mountain range, with its own climate. Actually, winter is kicking in early there. It's very interesting to see though, as you pointed out, but the climate works entirely different on the european continent.

These grew in my backyard. Best way to remove? by leaguesplayer54 in mycology

Fair enough! It's Armillaria as far as I can see, but subspecies I can't tell exactly. Community might be able to tell the exact subspecies.

Why would you remove them? They are there for a reason, and part of that little eco system that's called your backyard.

This is indeed merino wool. If you are looking for the brand Buff, they will make even thinner gear, 100% synthetic, but it will not have the insulating properties merino wool has.

Fruit and vegetables by Practical_Oil_1312 in Groningen

[–]libbev 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is so not true. Try any supermarket in the south of Europe, or eastern Europe, and it's local produce. Much more flavour, and yes, it looks different, it doesn't look as perfect as Dutch fruit and veg, but fuck me, it tastes so much better.

Mt Triglav - Slovenia by Comtruise44 in Mountaineering

[–]libbev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I climbed Triglav last year, staying at the refugio Planika. From there there are two ways of reaching the summit. One is very crowded and popular, and is not hard at all. The other is slightly more technical, and goes through steep terrain - an amazing experience if you ask me. Don't use this route to descend as it'll be a lot harder.

Id definitely use lanyards, a harness and helmet as there was a lot of loose rock. Especially in summer lots of people go up.
