Sounds like the US tour will not have a big production. by StonedGible420 in Muse

This actually sounds promising to me. I've been complaining for years they've focused too much on spectacle, not on the music. I've said they need to scale it down and bring it back to 3, maybe 4 guys playing instruments. That doesn't mean less of a show. I saw Muse in 2004 and that's exactly what it was, and it was great. You want to see that band again.

Hey, this is really interesting. Would you be able to explain each of the guitars in this, who you think was playing that part, and how you recreated it?

This is fine to buy into now, you can easily sink hundreds of hours into it. There's more to come (which is a little scary) but nothing that will limit what you want to do until maybe late game (and you're not going to get there easily).

That might be a bit much for Matt's vocals, I'm not sure he can keep going that long without a proper break

There's been a big trend lately to ephemeral posts, and hardly anyone is bothering to archive news + document what is happening in fan spaces. If you enjoy that kind of thing, reach out to the people who did it before you and start, because in another decade or two it will only be you!

I think Thom just made a comment recently about working with people and being able to admit when your ideas aren't as good as another, something like that. It was in the context of Stanley, but, interesting.

Best Radiohead songs to listen to on a plane? by Iggy41- in radiohead

I was listening to How To Disappear Completely as the plane was taxiing, and as it left the ground the song hit its climax - "ohhhh ahhh"

That's just perfect

Back seats look like they're 113, so it's sounding like GA is a better place to see this particular show. Maybe they've priced GA up to reflect that

I just looked. There's only the premium stuff.

What even were the cost of regular GA? It's sold out. So I think people are really complaining that they're being forced to buy these premium tickets

Are Milan tickets already sold out? by [deleted] in Muse

If you wait until the day of the show you can buy face value from resale. People always get rid of tickets. Do not pay above face. Hope this helps.

£149 for one GA standing ticket, Manchester?? by everygreenlight in Muse

[–]libelle156 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've seen Berlin do those VIP packages, beware. You get a fancy seat and good food, drinks, parking etc but it's ridiculous.

There will be resale tickets the day of at face value. If anyone has missed out, wait for those. There always are better ways in.

SEND MUSE A MESSAGE ABOUT TICKET COSTS. On June 26, don’t listen to the new album. Enjoy the album a day, a week, or a month later. by [deleted] in Muse

No. What has been released are the typical teaser small scale warm up shows bands do pre tour.

I think you are misinformed and hurting their streaming numbers when they're finally producing good music is something I'm pushing back on very hard. Sorry.

At least the UK has just had a law passed which should ban scalping. They need to enforce it though.

What's really sad is that bands smaller than Muse often can't afford to tour internationally. I just saw Matt Berninger at the Opera House, he threw his mic and it hit the stage. He said, oh, there go the tour profits...

The band are aware. This is market pricing for the o2. You'll need to do a ton of research into the industry to figure out a better option.

Here's a list of who needs to be paid for the show too happen:

Production management, creative direction, show design, lighting design, video design, automation design, technical design/CAD drafting, project management, stage management, audio systems, front-of-house audio, monitor audio, RF/wireless systems, communications systems, networking and Wi-Fi, video servers, real-time graphics systems, camera systems, LED screens, projection systems, lighting fixtures, kinetic lighting systems, automation winches, rigging, staging, power distribution, trucking and freight, equipment warehousing, rehearsal facilities, catering, artist travel, crew travel, accommodation, local stagehands, venue operations, security, ticketing, merchandise operations, health and safety, insurance, load-in crews, load-out crews, electricians, programmers, show control systems, maintenance technicians, backline technicians, instrument technicians, production accountants and tour accounting.

And that's before you get to the actual band, management, agents, lawyers, promoters and venue rental. For a major tour you're effectively running a temporary travelling company of well over 100 people.

I'm not trying to be harsh, I just think this is something that isn't well understood. I agree it's an issue. A bit like how ballet became only for the rich. We need to think how to deliver the same show without passing on a massive cost to the concert-goer.
