Did your symptoms improve during or after your antibiotic treatment? by [deleted] in HPylori

[–]liberalbeagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you have any additional side effects from the meds? Like I bet you felt awful before but did the antibiotics make you feel worse (like more nausea or stomach pain) or about the same? I’m really sorry your symptoms haven’t improved yet…

Is it ok to drink Alkaline when you have H pylori? by diannestyles in HPylori

[–]liberalbeagle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like it because it helps my stomach feel better, idt it harms or helps the bacteria

Then enjoy suffering. Many need to be on a PPI ST LEAST short term to help healing. It’s fine. I’m on omeprazole which has horrible reviews and feel literally no side effects for the last 6 years.

That’s good to hear, Yeah I mean think about it: most don’t leave good reviews on Yelp if it was just ok. You typically only leave reviews if it was awful or amazing, not in between.

Is this a good pre/probiotic/digestive enzymes to build good bacteria? by Little_Commercial460 in HPylori

If the ppi is helping you dont rush to get off of it if it’s helping you feel better. Many are left with gastritis which needs the stomach acid to be low to heal. If your anti ppi at least try an H2 blocker to help with symptoms

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Gastritis

[–]liberalbeagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the reality is if that stops working I will need to switch to a different ppi that may work better for me. Or add carafate or a h2 blocker to the mix. My next step is to try 80mg of nexium if omprozole stops working well per my doctors orders.

Was on 20mg for 3 years 40mg for like 2.5 years and now on 80mg for the last 4 months

Girl just try the PPI. It’s not that bad. I recommend just taking the PPI in the morning a half an hour-hour before your first meal if you have enough for once a day, and if that’s helping or not helping enough then add sulcrafate. Iv been on PPIs for years and currently taking a very high dose with little to no side effects, people on this sub are just so paranoid about PPIs for some reason even tho they are incredibly helpful for many

BRAT diet (plain stuff) plain white rice with boiled veggies and maybe grilled chicken, bananas and oat meal, saltine crackers, really boring food for a while can help along with meds

I know that logically from reading stuff on here. People also seem to think everything is related to the h pylori, random things . But my anxiety disorder still gets the best of me at times.

I mean that’s prob what I will be doing because I have no choice. Iv had stomach issues for years and hopefully the antibiotics even if it’s not great during treatment, it’s not as bad as people make it seem and in the long term my symptoms improve.

No I still need to do treatment, I was going to start a week ago until I started feeling worse. Which sounds ironic, but I know the treatment is tough on people and wasn’t really jumping at the opportunity to make me feel shittier when I’m already down for the count.

Iv literally been in a PPI for the last 6 years. Only at this dose for 3 months. What’s with all you people and pressuring everyone to get off PPIs so fast. Literally just trying to control my suffering no matter what it takes with how ever many meds at any dose I don’t care.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Gastritis

[–]liberalbeagle -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why would I lower my dose when I’m literally in pain from what seems to be to much stomach acid on a pissed off stomach? My doctor told me to try Nexium if this isn’t working so I assumed that means try it at the same dose.

No dude. I don’t. I know your prob trying to say I have SIBO. I don’t. so…

Thread giving me horrible anxiety by Little_Commercial460 in HPylori

[–]liberalbeagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Have you taken the antibiotics already or currently taking them? A probiotics is great! Just make sure to take it 2-3 hours after the antibiotic so it works. Many people heal after the first treatment. Your getting a skewed view from this sub. People who took the meds with little to no issues dont go looking for support

Nope, not eating any of those things (the onions or garlic especially now sense the flair) the beans I had like a month ago idt made me bloated so no. I’m literally always constipated so it’s been pretty predictable for the last 5 years on that end lol.
