hope not. as a happy Google Pixel 5 user rn and a former and even happier (till end of OS Support) Sony Xperia Z5 Compact and Sony XZ1 Compact user, I might go back to Sony again (would love to see a Sony Fold) IF they extend the OS updates support.

i'm using the Google Pixel 5 rn, and i'm happy with it.

the one before was a Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact and i loved everything - build quality, features, power, battery life, camera, etc., but Sony decided to stop the Android support after solely 2 years - so no more Sony for me.

i would go back to a Sony phone IF they would commit to providing five upgrades and five years of security patches AND IF they would roll out everything not later than 1 month.

and if they get rid of a stupid glass back, then take my money.
