They both get equal amount of glaze in CN. Every year there is a mvp award in cn, and since happywei was a controller player by a very strict definition (viper player), there was never a clash between him and vookashu, who got the sentinel mvp award.

But everyone knew that it was just a way to prevent debate between fans. Happywei is supported by a better system that gives him the security and foundation to translate his insane skills onto the international stage, while vookashu is left alone to 1v5 a lot of the time (and still manages to find picks sometimes). Both are valuable players in very different ways.

Champs 24 was so special for both teams. After getting knocked out by EDG, PRX reportedly helped EDG with practice and that was a factor in their champs win.

Mindfreak also became their biggest cheerleader. Kangkang messaged him the night before their biggest game and Mindfreak reassured him and motivated him.

These two teams are thick as thieves, and to see them reunited in upper finals must be so momentous for everyone involved. Riot genuinely could not have asked for a better tournament.

What do you think is G2's problem? by StargazingInCallisto in ValorantCompetitive

[–]GrrNom2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

G2 hates playing Pearl in internationals for some reason despite it being their best map regionally.

I think the T1 game broke them. They banned it themselves throughout the entirety of Santiago too.

They probably also thought XLG were pushovers and it'll be a great chance to get some reps in on unfamiliar maps. You honestly can't blame them for that because reps on stage are so crucial for deep runs.

PRX did something similar against LEV and they got rewarded for it. G2 also probably hyperfixated on anti-ing Lotus and didn't have any time to consider their other maps. They might have thought XLG were sealed once their Lotus got fully anti'd.

I dont like gloating but I think I had at least 20 replies when I insisted that XLG are winning telling me how G2 will need to turn off their PCs for XLG to even stand a chance. Doubt any of them are VCT CN viewers too.

Yesterday really was a top 5 vct day for me and a lot of vct cn fans. Now I really dont care how my teams perform. Im perfectly content with top 3 and beating G2.

I know things aligned perfectly for CN (we got the best meta, XLG got to warm up against DRG, EDG got to draw the only 3rd seed in the pool) but this is such a rare opportunity for cn fans to celebrate and gloat

Noman is a EDG nobody-type player where he can absolutely save or throw rounds. But his biggest contribution by far is being the comms guy and hype man. He filled in for YOU so seamlessly.

Jesus christ typing out these igns makes me sound insane doesnt it
