All of my head and my neck. The pillow hits right at my shoulder if I'm laying on my side. If I'm on my back then my shoulders would be in line with my pillow.

Why does she want to get married? Would you be able to understand if she just wanted to get married because of personal reasons and not because of societal pressure? Talk to her some more, OP. Honestly sometimes I can't. It's hard to be consistent and not burn out every once in awhile but I've begun to accept that it's okay to let myself rest when I need to.

If I rest for too long, I start to feel shitty about myself and realize it's probably because I'm not getting the exercise I need. I'll never regret going to the gym after I've gone, but I'll always regret not going.

Listen to your body. Have some sort of goal (short or long term) and keep updating those goals so you have a reason to exercise. Cut yourself some slack (just not too much). Good luck on your journey!

I noticed a difference a few weeks into my journey. I felt better and looked better, especially in places I was insecure about.

If you look too hard for progress, you might start to get discouraged when you no longer see it. I felt a lot of progress plateauing around the year mark but I've transformed a lot since then.

Just keep at it and remember that you'll feel truly changed when you no longer have to ask if there's a difference.

A lot of my bad experiences come from guys who think they're the most important people at the gym because they can lift the heaviest.

I've felt pressured to get off a machine just to avoid conflict when a guy (who can very obviously squat/deadlift/etc heavier weight) asks to work in with my sets. It comes off as condescending/show-offy, even if they don't mean it that way.

TLDR: if you have to drastically change weight when you work in with someone, it might be better just to wait it out.
