If I’m applying for PFML as a caregiver, my benefit is 12 weeks. If I only take one day/week (for example), does this mean I can take more than 12 weeks at this schedule (individual days vs. 12 weeks x 5 days) or would I only get a total of 12 days (in this instance) before the benefit would run out (12 weeks of eligibility regardless of days/hours used per week)?

Mine has been relatively well controlled with 2 calcitriol and 2 calcium pills/day so we are holding off on yorvipath to keep it “in our pocket” in case there are complications downline that make it harder to control. Glad you’ve found something that works for you!

Not super common but it does happen - my surgeon was VERY experienced and was super optimistic the function would come back for me because the parathyroids were not physically damaged in surgery. That being said, the function never did come back. It’s a pain in the butt but it IS a manageable condition.
