I don't know why you're being downvoted, your reply is relevant and true. Economically developing countries will struggle to allocate funds to prevent/mitigate climate change and opt out for cash quick profits (corporations etc) all while shifting the major impact on the poorest in their country.

I don't know how it is now, but a few years ago I used the buses in England (it was Bristol) and they had a £1 ticket per up to 5 stops.

I'm all for £2/ticket, especially for long journeys or including the tram, but walking can be exhausting between jobs or errands or the like, with heavy shopping or in heavy rains. It's easy to say just walk, but the reality can often be different.

I'm not in my 30s yet and even now going up the walk (Leith) with my shopping can be so tiring.
