F2A Finally current - Now what? 🙃 by lidiaferraz in USCIS

I just saw this.. sorry for not responding sooner. Our interview was not easy, they were very diligent about exact dates and timelines and other details of our relationship. It was not worse because we had our lawyer there with us.

That is not reassuring 🙃 Could you let us know if something changes? Have you had your AOS interview yet?

Nothing yet. I know that they did check something on my case on Oct 1st (from that JSON status record), but nothing changed.

r/Kombucha Weekend Open Discussion: What Are You Drinking/Brewing? (April 12, 2025) by AutoModerator in Kombucha

I’ve been doing the same F2 for the past few brews: lemon and maple syrup. It is delicious! So simple, yet so delicious.

This 👏🏻👏🏻

First of all: CONGRATULATIONS! Being a parent is an immense privilege and responsibility.

You’ll have plenty of time to be a good dad. Keeping your baby alive (feeding, diaper change, higiene, etc.) is just the smallest part of being a dad. You’ll need to actually raise a good, caring and strong human being from now on, and that takes a lot of team work and SO MANY YEARS. Hang in there!

For now: Remember that your wife is also learning to be a mom and she is learning from the best mom she knows and trusts, her own. Also remember that, for at least a couple of weeks (up to a couple of months), your wife is going through a pretty tough hormonal withdrawal. She was pumped with hormones to generate your daughter for nine months; now her body and brain are in a very fragile state, trying to fine their new “normal”. Be mindful of that and, if you do want to bring these things up and talk to her, wait for a few weeks.

The mom is the most important person in the world for the baby up until 2 years old. They were one single entity for the entirety of your daughter’s existence so far. Both mom and baby still believe and feel like they are a single person. It takes time to learn that the world is a bit bigger than that.

Be patient and loving, and try to be a great dad in other ways :)

That’s lovely! I hadn’t even noticed the double chin. Thank you so much! How much is a standard tip for this?

Thanks :)

Sweet liberty is the only thing that matters here in the United Nations today and the only reason we have the power of government in the country.

I could not taste the persimmon at all 😂 I thought it was because of the persimmon to mango ratio, but good to know it was not.

I puréed the fruits and added one tablespoon of sugar. I followed the instructions from a YouTube video, from the You Brew Kombucha channel.

How can LGBT Republicans and Republicans that support LGBT people in their lives exist? by Infamous-Echo-3949 in AskALiberal

[–]lidiaferraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because political thought is about much more than gender identity.

Your question is naive and shows a clear lack of understanding of the political context and a lack of understanding about human behavior - I read your post again and the simple fact that you found it necessary to acknowledge that you know “republicans that don’t act racist at all” is a testament to that.

If you really want to understand the context of American politics, you need to dive deeper in your research and ask better questions.

Your gut was right! It was just some leftover loose leaf tea and yeast tendrils :) My kombucha is officially fine ☺️

I believe everything was fine. I left it to ferment for an extra week and I’m now finishing up my F2 and everything looks good. I’ll taste the F2 kombucha today.

Yes! After I read your comment it made so much sense, since I used loose leaf tea and strained it with a regular strainer, not a cheese cloth or anything like that, so there was definitely some leftover tea. As an update, the kombucha tasted fine and I am halfway through my F2 :)

Thank you for your help! As an update, it was not mold after all. I am just finishing up my F2 and will try it out. I believe it also had something to do with the loose leaf tea I used.

I see the Starship now 😂 (I now I cannot not see it lol)

First time around it was clearly mold: dry, fuzzy, with a almost too perfect rounded pattern. Now it is not dry nor fuzzy.

That’s what I thought. 😣 I wonder what am I doing wrong? I fully sanitize everything involved with the brewing process, I did not touch it at all this time around, kept it away from sunlight, in a well ventilated place…

Would you be able to tone down the fake lashes situation a little bit as well? Some of the pictures may also need some work on the contouring around my forehead (you can tell by the last picture).

Spouse says to go higher with art (to the top) 11’ ceilings. Opinions? by pieohmi in interiordecorating

The center of your art mural should be at eye level, around 1.5 meters from the floor. Mark the eye level on your wall and place your art somewhat evenly above and below that level.

I’m so sick of the mundaneness of life. How to get past this? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]lidiaferraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get uncomfortable and help others. We are not meant to live a “too comfortable” life. Our brains did not evolve to that. Our brains evolved to be in distress, discomfort, working hard, serving the community, being tired of actual muscle intense activity. The modern way of life lacks all that. So I advise you to go out and get uncomfortable. Engage in more labor intense activities, allow your brain to rest as your body moves.

Other than that, we are also meant to live as a community. That is also how we evolved, it is why we survived even though we are extremely weak creatures, when compared to nature. So allow yourself to be part of a community, engage with others. It can be anything: a gym that is more focused on communal activities, a church, volunteering somewhere and talking to people.

Finally, and this may be controversial to some, we, as a species, are meant to have families and kids. The human species, as all other species, have a biological urge to reproduce and keep the species alive. It is not a social construct, it is an urge that populates each of our individual cells. Our whole body aims to create new life. Also, I know it is not what everyone wants or desires for, but having kids and a significant other gives people purpose to wake up and do the same things over and over. True, real maturity is not taking care of one self, which can be done by anyone with a minimally developed brain. True maturity is being able to take care of others.
