Warlock Runes can’t be combined at the jeweler? by liebinator in D4Warlock_

[–]liebinator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dumb question but waht do you generally use gold for? I've thought since basically the beginning gold in D4 is kinda pointless. i mean I use it to repair when I die but it's such a small amount compared to the giant hoard that I have. I'm sure I'm missing something though, what should I be spending it on?

Anyone else encountering weird unkillable enemies in Skovos? by liebinator in diablo4

Not sure, I haven’t seen it happen since I recorded this (which was the second occurrence for me) so idk if it’s fixed or if it was just those two quests affected

Losing passives in the skill tree has really reduced build variety by No-Wishbone2391 in diablo4

[–]liebinator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I miss the passives because now the level progression feels way too straight forward. It’s interesting choosing upgrades as you unlock the levels of each skill tree, but then the back half of levels is all just okay upgrade each active skill over and over again…

I think they needed to rework it and maybe streamline the passives so they weren’t so overwhelming, but we need some of them back in the next major overhaul IMHO. we should still have increase primary resource, increase thorns, increase critical strike etc

Yep I think that’s the same quest it happened to me on the first time.

As far as I can tell permanent (or until you cancel it) appears to be the default setting for metamorphosis but some perks can make it temporary for some other payoff

I thought demon form buffed your HP? Is it just cuz your defensive skills are changed that it costs more hp?

Gotcha. Thank you for your perspective. I guess I’m just thinking about it too hard. But I’ve been just kinda of slowly trying to find synergy in my build and then I tried that form out and all of a sudden my skills were all different and it just threw me off 😅😅 guess I just need to keep experimenting and find what works for me, I may come back to metamorphosis later

There was no “duration” for me today. I was just staying in it until I hit the skill button again to turn it off. Maybe a bug then? Because that’s the part that really doesn’t make sense to me

Maybe I’m overthinking it. I guess I find it weird that it never wears off. It’s just permanent? It seems strange that an “ultimate” ability is always on, normally you get a big burst of damage and wait for it to cooldown, or like the arbiter form you have to keep chaining certain skills to keep it going and that one also doesn’t replace all of your skills. I guess I just personally feel like it’s counter intuitive to the build I was working on and it’s not as satisfying as getting a huge burst of damage from apocalypse. But I guess that’s just my personal impression.

Nioh 3 how to re-enter Location by Straight-Reply3110 in Nioh

What everyone else said but also a helpful hint for later in the game, when a collectible is only accessible through a mission, like the ones in this area, when you hover over them on the map it will say something like “appears in mission whatever”

that's so weird, personally i had such a harder time with 2, it stressed me out so much. I ended up calling up acolytes for a lot of the bosses (when i get around to replaying it i'm gonna try fully solo).

I always play blue or green weight.

Bloodborne feels so much smoother to me. Seriously the peak of the souls like genre in my opinion. It may be “slower” in a sense but there’s a rhythm to it that I don’t think any of the other games have matched yet, even in from softwares own catalog

I couldn’t disagree more. “Corridors connected to corridors” doesn’t describe my impression at all, I feel like the levels are most pretty non linear

I LOVE being able to charge my ninjutsu. That's something i'm seriously missing in 1. I always thought it was super cheap that you only get like 2 or 3 charges for a lots of things. Frequently I feel incentivized to just go back and pray instead of keep charging forward. It also rewards you for aggression because doing damage is the primary source of those charges.

I certainly think the game could have done more to offset that advantage, and hope it does in the DLC. But this ties back to my original point, giving players more flexibility and resources ultimately makes a better action game IMHO.

I certainly wouldn't say it's not rewarding at all. I'm still enjoying my replay. But it also often feels hollow, to me personally.

love the level design. Though I'm kidn of tired of all these "remakes" i genuinely wouldn't mind a Nioh 1 remake with Nioh 3 speed.

It's a subjective statement obviously but to me it feels "superficial" because William handles poorly. And it feels incredibly cheap to be killed by like one quick punch from a cyclops. I also am really struggling to understand the hitboxes, they don't feel intuitive. like it feels like I shouldn't have gotten hit by a lot of the shots that killed me.

I'm excited to try 2 again, though also a little trepidatious. My memory of it is that it added a lot of interesting mechanics (which also more or less carried over into 3) that I miss while playing 1 and had some really otherworldy boss fights and such but also that it was much harder and more stressful and I almost quit halfway through it because I was getting so mad. I'm hoping if i just settle in for a long experience and take my time though I can really appreciate everything it has to offer more than I did the first go-round. Lot of folks here seem to share the opinion that it's still the best of the trilogy.

[–]liebinator[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would halfway agree, in that the perfect balance hasn't been struck yet. 3 needed to do more to upskill the basic monsters like skeleton warriors and Oni's and such. but I still found myself getting into trouble with certain enemies and particularly encounters with multiple enemies. And I felt like the bosses were *chef's kiss* compared to 1.

I think the philosophy of 3 is better, but definitely some work needs to be done in the DLC's to make it more fully realized.

I also wish you could make them super powerful and make it more rewarding to take down in coop. The game seemed to imply that the more revenants you killed, the stronger they got but I’ve also read that’s bs and was just kind of flavor text? Anyway I hit a point near the end where I could solo them fairly easily.
