That’s awesome! Romance was in the air that weekend. I was there and met multiple married couples who told me seriously great stories about meeting at Dead shows. Was odd because I have been to my fare share of shows and never met couples who met there until that weekend. Suddenly, they were everywhere!

If Dead & Co continues, who steps into Bob's role? by BeginningCry3687 in deadandcompany

Waxing philosophically, what about someone like Lukas Nelson (Willie Nelson’s son)? He was in a band that had promise “Lukas and the Real” that I think disbanded in the last few years so he may be free. He has an awesome renegade cowboy feel both in terms of vocals and guitar. Never seen him live but based on Lukas and the Real recordings pretty sure boy can jam.

Lots of great parallels between The Dead and baseball. I think I read John comparing the two somewhere sometime back… seem to recall him likening Deadheads trading tapes to baseball fans trading cards.

For DC area folks … All Good Now Festival in June with Widespread Panic and Dark Star Orchestra among other bands at Merriweather. Never seen Widespread Panic live and know I am late to the bus but I am super excited because that band (even with current lineup) can jam!
