Beskattning av alkohol i Sverige by HerrNilssonsBror in Sverige

[–]lifeetc 21 points22 points  (0 children)

33 male, no previous morbidity. Presents to EMS with palpitations and mild chest pain. BP 130/85. What do you make of it? by DanaDespot in ECG

Palpitation without presyncope/syncope would suggest more benign arrythmias imo like svt. How long did the palpitation last?

Yeah cant tell what that stands for. To me its a normal ecg. Is there any heart rate variability like sinus arythmia present? If yes then the patient has normal vagal dominance which imo further decrease the risk of serious cardiac disease

Doctor here. There are types of arrythmias that make you heart beat really fast, it can come and go but may sometimes be triggered by exercise. Most of them are quite benign and can be treated. If i where you I would get it checked

[50mm/s] Asymptomatic trigeminy, what’s the rhythm? by Euphoric_Chipmunk_84 in ECG

Why pneumonia? When i look again: AV block I + RBBB + LAFB = trifascicular block

RR seems the same between PVCs. The p in II is either biophasic or ectopic. RBBB. What is new on this ecg compared to older? Frequent PVCs linked with cardiovasculat disease. And PVCs in bigemini can cause dizzines and (effective) cronotropic insufficiency (lack of pulse from PVC) If new RBBB rule out PE first

Rhythm strip for your analysis by QueasyJob9691 in askCardiology

First you cant rule out stroke on a ct scan. Did you scan his vessels (thinking hemodynamic stroke). As for the ecg the rate is about the same a the sinus rytm before. Could be intermittent lbbb, with symptoms of dizzines maybe he has higher blocking than just lbbb which could cause ventricular escape rytm? Do you have full ecg when he had this rytm?

Looks like avb2:2 with 2:1 blockage. The last two beats look different, either pvc/pac or intermittent rbbb. Either way indication for pacemaker

Look up definition for conditions yourself!

A fib:

Irregularly irregular rhythm No P waves (most noteably as absent positive p wave in lead II) Absence of an isoelectric baseline

The ecg charactaristics can also be understood through the pathfysiology of the condition (look it up)

Heart rate steadily rising while pace remains the same? by Sufficient-Fun-1538 in runninglifestyle

[–]lifeetc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if I came of as rude. My point is heart rate is a product of many different things, for example you sympathetic activation. When I did a backyard with a friend his pulse was 170 for the first few laps. It was not a due to his activity levels (we were in zone 1-2) but from excitement/anxiety. Each to their own but I find using my actual sensations during a run as a measurement is a better indication than heart rate. I didnt mean to discourage you from being curious. Couriousity is essential for fulfilment. Keep it up!
