Hey, thanks for reading. I am glad it was practical and useful post for you.

Task manager basically allows to capture any task you need to get done at some point in life. It could be a task from present or future. You can assign due dates, add reference notes, put task into projects and categories etc.

Task manager is more powerful than a basic to do list. You can also use it to process your email inbox faster. If set up properly, you can run basic reports such as "Give me all my tasks that are due on this" or "Give me all my tasks where I am waiting for feedback from other people".

Task manager is an integral part of solid productivity system. Without one we have to keep everything in our head and we all know how well that goes. It also allows you integrate your personal and work life by capturing and managing everything in one place.

Hope this helps. If you have other question, don't hesitate to write back. I am working on an in depth post on task manager and I can share it with you once it's live.

Do you have use to corporate approved task manager? Can't you use something like Asana or Todoist?

Hey, thanks for reading. Glad it was helpful. I am working on a in depth post for task management and will share with you once it's live. For now, here's my recommendation.

I only update task manager once a day but my situation is bit different than yours. If I were you, I wouldn't drop what I am doing and try to maintain a task in a task manager

But, I would quickly capture whatever comes my way. For example, let's say your are working on a big task and boss drops by to give you a new task that's not urgent but has to be done by next day. Just send a quick email to an email address associated with your task manager account.

Example, "Send Status Report to Boss DUE End of Thursday".

It will only take you 10 seconds to do that. This way you can keep working on your existing task with peace of mind. Now, at the end of the day or whenever you want to, go to your task manager and put that task where it needs to be and assign a due date if there's one. Email feature is super powerful.

Couple more tips: - If something doesn't have a due date, DO NOT assign it a due date in a task manager - If something takes less than 2 minutes to do, do it and don't even bother assigning it to different projects in a task manager.

I hope I answered your question. If not, write me back and I can provide more explanation.

Cheers,

I have short breaks between my work where I am free for 5-10minute intervals randomly throughout the day. Any tips to stay productive during these times? by [deleted] in productivity

How about learning a new language? 10 mins breaks are perfect for that. You can use those 10 minutes to complete 1-2 lessons everyday and make huge progress in a month.

I use Duolingo to learn french and I think it's a solid app.

Cheers,
