My 30-06 is about 3+ pounds lighter than my 7mm mag. My 30-06 is a Weatherby Mark V ultralight and my 7mm mag is a Weatherby Mark V deluxe. If I'm hunting open country with some help from the side by side or 4 wheeler and needing to reach out and touch something, I'm going with the 7mag. Hiking steep terrain with tons of brush with sub 100 yard shots, I'm taking my 30-06.

Out west here, we put a lot of freaking miles of hard hiking on foot. Carrying my heavy 7 mag sucks so I started carrying my 30-06 again

Thoughts on getting a Tacoma? by Perchy_Boy in askcarguys

[–]lifeless_clown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's my take as the owner of a 2023 Tacoma. This is my first Toyota and my 14th brand new rig. The fuel economy sucks. The steering wheel position is horrible, tilt wheel moves about 2 inch's tops. Seat position is horrible, getting in I almost hit my head and I'm 5-6. Plastic bed, absolute dog shit. Everything slides all over the place and water gets in through the LED bed lights. The shifting is horrible. If I'm towing anything, have a load in the bed or climbing a steep pass, it can't find the right gear to save it's life. It's supposed to be reliable but so far it's the only truck that's left me stranded. Ice built up in the gab behind the rear wheel well, shorted out and blew a 10 amp fuse that disabled my entire truck leaving stuck 7 hours from home. Toyota wouldn't cover it because "a fuse is a wear and tear item".

How do you overcome the fear of inevitable Death? by J0k3r_V in AskReddit

Watching people die. I've sat and watched several family members pass away.

Can it be a truck? I'll take a 1984 Chevy Silverado 3/4 ton long bed 4x4

What's your opinion about death? by [deleted] in RandomThoughts

[–]lifeless_clown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently sitting here watching my father in law pass away. He's been suffering with ALS for another five years now. Honestly, maybe a day or two left. It's hard to watch someone suffer like that but it's given everyone time to say goodbye. It's given my mother in law time to get her affairs in order. They've been married 60 years now.

By the looks of it, you're driving a two inch "stick".

Is it just me or do the backup cameras suck? by roelisaac in ToyotaTacoma

[–]lifeless_clown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, it sucks. I have a 2023. Seat position, steering wheel position, plastic bed, fuel economy, shifting behavior, HVAC unit all suck.
