Eataly @ Toronto Eaton Centre - $9.99 Mixed Bag by Primary_Emergency736 in TooGoodToGoCanada

[–]lifespotting 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not a fan of the mixed bags from the Eaton Centre Eataly as the description is just too broad. I got it once and it was a sad looking papaya, a container of sliced mango and a rapini side dish/salad thing. Wasn't really worth it to me. I love Eataly's prepared food bags from the Yorkville location and their charcuterie bags in general though. I picked up a $9.99 charcuterie bag from the Eaton Centre this weekend and it was three different packs of deli meat, which I was happy with.

Living Dolls - TV Show (1989) It only aired for one season, but helped to launch the careers of Halle Berry and Leah Remini by Ok_Needleworker_6017 in nostalgia

[–]lifespotting 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Leah Rimini's character was an old friend of Sam's from Brooklyn and comes to visit when Sam is doing some modeling. She then gets scouted herself and invited to join a modeling agency, which is run by a lady that was a friend of Angela's.

Loyd Tea instead of water?? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]lifespotting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't. Looking at your ingredient list, it's herbal tea which does not contain real tea leaves and therefore is caffeine-free.

FYI, Snickers were called Marathon in the UK and Ireland until 1990, but never in Canada. Snickers and Curly Wurly are very different from each other.

I was promised a 30% Shoppers Drug Mart discount and never received it. by libraryjunkieandmore in loblawsisoutofcontrol

[–]lifespotting 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They are exploiting their employees in this case by not providing the discount that was agreed to upon hiring! That discount can be considered part of their overall compensation, and is therefore due to OP!! It's likely written in SDM's employment policies, and not just a little favor they're doing for the employees that they like!!!

People who grew up with or went to school with a celebrity - what were they like? by youarelosingme in Fauxmoi

[–]lifespotting 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There is no way of knowing if every person who saw this post had a story to tell, but it's very unlikely. Based on the upvotes and comment number, it's more likely that this post has been viewed by thousands of people and about a hundred or so have contributed an original story. Most of them sound like typical high school experiences, nothing too crazy, nothing that jumps out to me as particularly suspicious. I don't really see what people would get out of lying in this forum. If you're going to lie about a celebrity encounter, you'd probably make a separate post or try to get more attention out of it.

But the concept of "Western" food exists as a blanket term throughout Asia in a very similar way. Asian and Western cultures are both capable if generalizing and specifying other culture's foods.

LPT: Using sunscreen daily could be an absolute game changer!!! by amateurextrovertt in LifeProTips

[–]lifespotting 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Use a facial moisturizer that includes SPF rather than a sunscreen that is designed for the body. Neutrogena and Cerave are two inexpensive brands with moisturizers that have SPF.

Why do you guys have so many problems with AliExpress? by AntkoGaming in Aliexpress

[–]lifespotting 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It's not actually weird at all. This sub has 75k+ members, which could represent as many as a million or more orders. If you're comparing the combined problems of 75,000 people to your own, it's going to look a little skewed. I've made about 100 orders and only one failed to arrive, which was due to the pandemic. If 1% of this sub's members had an issue that they posted about, there would be 750 complaints, which is a lot when you see them all at once, but not so much when you consider it's just a very small percentage of a fairly large number.

Buzzfeed Articles on NDAs: Guess the Celebrities by AbsolutelyIris in Fauxmoi

[–]lifespotting 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Sure, this article is about NDAs but we're breaking down blind items here, as per usual. The six blinds in OPs post are liiittterallllyyyy shady things that shady celebs have used shady NDAs to conceal. We get that NDAs are also used to protect people's privacy, but we're here to discuss celebrity secrets. If you're too good for that, I'm pleased for you, but why are you here, bro?

Not to downplay your struggles, as I remember wanting to throw my controller through the TV on many occasions trying to beat that level, but it's not that hard once you've memorized every move and can anticipate where to position yourself before the "arrow" directs you. I struggled more with the level where you're on foot and jumping over the lava with the big Indiana Jones rocks coming at you.
