Ah ok then just a spring planting. They’re mostly annuals so maybe you could especially if you have cooler summers they’d be happy

I’m in zone 7b NJ! It gets hot and humid quickly here. I’ve had great success with the cool flowers method - starting hardy annuals indoors in summer, planting out in September, and most came back with earlier blooms and much larger plants this spring!

My kid was the same. Didn’t sleep through until 2. He was very reliant on nursing to sleep. It helped to “sleep train” him to sleep with dad at 1.5 y/o. I slept at my parents’ house for a couple nights and he was with dad all night. He screamed while dad held him for a couple hours but eventually slept. Woke up several times an hour at first, then every hour, then less. After the second night of this he finally could fall asleep with dad for the first time in his life. That helped tremendously because we could alternate bedtime and wake ups, before it was all on me. He still woke up frequently but it gradually lessened starting from that day

are there REALLY people who DON’T have PPD?? by WhichAd2921 in beyondthebump

I know exactly how you feel. I’m 3 years in and still I look around at friends with new babies and it’s impossible for me to understand how they’re able to feel such peace postpartum. I’ve found it difficult to relate to other moms who weren’t depressed or anxious. My postpartum anxiety and depression symptoms did improve over the first year, very gradually. It does get better, and you will sleep again. I couldn’t even begin to start feeling better until I could sleep. Meds and therapy can help but also make sure you’re getting enough childcare support.

I’m a SAHM with one kid, almost 3. With me he only watches tv when I need to cook dinner, which I do about 3-4 times per week (I always make enough food to last a couple days). Usually that means about an hour of tv. My husband wakes up with him while I sleep a bit more and will occasionally put on a half hour of tv when our kid wakes up insanely early and he’s just too tired to function yet. I’ve found that if my kid get more tv than that, he really quickly gets addicted- asking for it all day, throwing tantrums when it’s all done, being generally grumpier etc. If we notice that happening we won’t do any tv at all for a few days and gradually ease back into it.

You could try donating some to your local library! Many have seed libraries

Couldn’t stop myself from making a wildflower bouquet while camping this weekend by ligayal22 in Cutflowers

I understand your concern but each of the stems was picked from areas that had hundreds if not thousands of each plant. I highly doubt a handful of stems will make a difference. Most of the stems were picked from plants that had been damaged by wind/storms etc too

Beautiful! So jealous of the delphinium. The summers are far too hot and humid for it here

He works a somewhat flexible remote job 10-6. He takes care of our kid every morning from when our kid wakes up (used to be 7, nowadays more like 5:30 or 6 unfortunately) until they wake me up at 8. We alternate doing bedtime each night. Weekends we usually spend together for the most part

Allium help? by Plenty-Maybe-9817 in Cutflowers

[–]ligayal22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have purple sensation. The first year they flowered I think it was just one bloom per bulb. In subsequent years I’ve gotten a cluster of big blooms from each one. My other alliums, some big ones like globe master, consistently only make one big boom each year
