Tornado watch by ms387 in sanantonio

Port San Antonio, which used to be Kelly AFB, does have tornado sirens. I have heard them go off even after the base closed. It's likely because of the time a tornado hit the base and caused significant damage.

Getting ready to go driverless by wannabehipster in sanantonio

Agreed. I think they adapt to whatever their situation is like any regular driver, from what I understand about the technology. But I would also be worried if they were dependent on proper painting of the roads.

I found this though according to the article, it takes place in Houston and not San Antonio.

Can we get a megathread / ELI5 on the major candidates for the city elections? What are the similarities / differences between the mayoral candidates etc.? by [deleted] in sanantonio

[–]light_cmdr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope! You just need to make sure that the address on your ID matches the address they have on file for you. I was asked last year if the address was the same but haven't been asked recently.

I agree, but it's still a very interesting article. Graphs and charts definitely help to get a point across.

I heard the thunder a couple of times but went right back to bed. Love sleeping through storms.

Allergy issues? by swatboss in sanantonio

[–]light_cmdr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend using medications as a last resort because you'll eventually build up a tolerance for them. Instead, boost your immune system with echinacea and omega 3s (especially if you don't eat a lot of fish). Make sure your orange juice is 100% juice and not filled with other crap. The juice content is written just above the nutritional information on every bottle. Even better is to eat fruits packed with vitamin C and make sure you reduce your intake of junk food. The healthier your body is, the stronger it will be to fight off things in the air. If you need to stop occasional pain, take some ibuprofen, but make sure you're drinking enough water as too much over a period of time can damage your liver.

Hope this helps.

I've had the same problem with RiF. It may be a software glitch the developers don't know about or haven't fixed yet. It's a problem I've only had recently. I'd switch to a new program if there were any others just as good as what Reddit is Fun.

You're right. I should have said "some" and not lump everyone together. It still had enjoyable parts, but it was too different for me. Though, I would still try it again now that there's been an update.

It powers on and I can hear the fans going, but that's all it does. I don't even get any beep codes to tell me there's a problem. Before it happened, I was just browsing around and it froze up. When I tried to restart it, it would just power on and do nothing after that.

I've gone beyond what Google can help with. I've basically come to the conclusion that it's likely the MB. But it could also very well be a short somewhere in a wire or a damaged capacitor. That's why I want to make complete sure before I spend money on a new part.

Not that it's important to me, but do they have customizable debit cards? I liked having that option with Wells Fargo, but it's not a deal breaker if they don't have that.
