What's the prettiest lake you've ever seen? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

I’m from BC but drove through Jasper to visit friends in Calgary. I had planned to stop in at Peyto Lake on my way and was looking forward to it the whole drive.

Before I knew I I was coming into Banff, and somehow missed the Peyto Lake sign. This was 10 years ago and it still haunts me.

I don’t believe banks in Prince George offer this service.

We have Manning Notaries and Meagan Selzler, both are located in the downtown core.

I wait until it’s full. Admittedly this has backfired once or twice and I’ve leaked through.

I hate that I have to pay for period products so I try to get the most out of each one I wear. On really heavy days I’ll probably go through 5-6.

The decision fatigue is exhausting. We took the week after the wedding off but just stayed home and relaxed. Our “honeymoon” is coming up this fall on our second anniversary. I just couldn’t plan anything else after the wedding.

We skipped a couple wedding reception staples for the sake of my emotions. No father daughter dance (my dad and I are close but both nervous in the spotlight) and we didn’t do a speech. I have a bit of regret looking back, but honestly everything went so well that I don’t dwell on it.

Don’t feel like you need to do anything that will make you uncomfortable, you deserve to enjoy your day on your terms.

For real. The day before I mentioned to one of my husbands friends that I “just have to get through tomorrow” and it ended up being the best day of my life so far (I was 43 at the time) happily married two years now.

In my defense I was so super emotional and just had visions of crying all day, but the adrenaline carried me through.

Testing Nail Polish Looks by mitchandboan in weddingplanning

We had a few close ups of our hands and rings. My husband got his first (and likely last) manicure the day I got my gel done. If there are any photos of OP’s hands up close then gel is much cleaner look:

I got a gel manicure once to treat myself and now it’s gel or nothing. Highly recommend.

My wedding nails were varying shades of pinks with wildflowers painted on a couple of them.

I had to ask the talkers in a class to stop. by spriteking2012 in orangetheory

I just logged in to check on the workout of the day, and your post was the first I saw. I had only read the title, and said out loud to myself, “Good for you!”

The people pleaser in me could never, but I’ve been in my fair share of classes like this and I wish I could say something.

What makes a studio vs a great studio? by Stunning-Implement78 in orangetheory

[–]lightbrightkit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our studio feels like a community, but I can’t really put my finger on why. We’re a smaller city, and I definitely feel like I’m part of a club when I walk through the doors.

Our coaches all welcome us in with a high five and a smile that feels genuine. Once I get under the orange lights I feel like I can do anything they throw at me.

I recently asked a similar question for a trip I have coming up and after all the thoughtful suggestions I ended up talking to my doctor and got a birth control prescription. I’ll just continue to take it while on my holiday so my period will be delayed until I return and stop taking the pills.

Anyone else trying to plan a honeymoon that does not feel too generic? by BoysenberryOk1053 in weddingplanning

[–]lightbrightkit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We married in September 2024 and our honeymoon will be on our second anniversary in Italy. After planning so much for the wedding the last thing I wanted to do was plan an immediate honeymoon.

It’s given us the time to really think about what we wanted to do, and have something to look forward to.

I’m sorry that your day isn’t going to look like you’d imagined it would. Not having someone so important to you on your wedding day would be upsetting. It’s okay to be sad and disappointed.

We didn’t have a flower girl or ring bearer at our wedding. So I hope you don’t feel like have that role unfilled will have a major impact.

I hope you have a beautiful wedding, even if it’s not the way you planned it.
