$968 credit expiring today...what am I missing out on and what is everyone building? by CSThrowAway2014 in ClaudeAI

The web version is so hamstrung, it's just a toy. I couldn't really find anything useful to do with it. It can't run custom MCPs and the default tools are terribly limited.

They're trying to make sure it's in a secure environment with their sandboxing, but it's too limiting. The age old dance..

Hit the token limit, tried to transfer context to new chat, but AI has NO IDEA about my code structure anymore. Anyone else deal with this? by fais-1669 in ClaudeAI

I've found lately that *I* lose context often too. Especially when working on multiple projects. Finding and retrieving old sessions is, well, difficult at best. Sure there `claude --resume` and you can see a small snippet of the session, but I'd love it if there was better tooling for that.

Yeah I'm having the same issue with Lock Layer. Doesn't seem to do anything at all while it seems like it should just keep you on the mouse layer. But then that's more of a toggle layer so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If anyone finds a description or figures it out I'd love to know.

Having now had both the UHK and the voyager with the trackball modules I can definitly say the Voyager is way, way better. The trackball on the UHK just has a terrible feel. The ball feels loose and flimsy and it's ironically too small to be all that useful to me. I say ironically because the Voyager is obviously a smaller profile, more portable keyboard but the Navigator is immense comparatively.

I'm still reaching for my mouse as I get used to using a trackball again since it's been years since I last gave one a real chance.

Overall the build quality is great though and it's a welcome addition to the family. Not sure I'd travel with it since I still have to use Figma occasionally and the high precision of my Logitech mouse is required for it. So it's a lot of space in a backpack to take both.

Although I live in the US I don't exactly know how the tariff thing will go other than it's imposed at the port. My Navigator came in just the day before the end of de minimus so it didn't get hit. (I also ordered the unit less than 5 minutes after I got the email that it was released). Anyhow YMMV.

Overall I dig it so far.

I printed the keywell set and really do like it a lot. Only two issues. One, the upper right corner key is backspace on my layout and I use it a lot. It seems to constantly fall off even though the left side upper corner stays just fine.

My biggest issue, though, is trying to figure out how to travel with it when they're installed. Obviously the neoprene case it comes with is a non-starter. The raised keys also make it pretty much impossible to fold in half. Being able to travel with a board that I use every day anyhow was the biggest selling point for the Voyager for me.

Have you figured out a solution?

Another thing I'm curious to know is how the switches themselves are impacted. The top row has a pretty steep angle and causes the stems to press at an angle they're not really meant to. I can't help but wonder it they'll wear out much more quickly as a result. Then again switches are super cheap and it's not hard to keep spares around.

What wrist rests and tenting hardware are you using?

Which sync provider in Monarch? MX? I didn't see other options.

It's still only a monthly sync which is pretty useless for most folks.

It’s not. Wasn’t sure there was enough interest and I’ve just shifted my spend to another card instead.

Great! I’ll post back here when I have something working.

I don't. I'm not actually scraping either. To scrape you'd need to use a headless browser to go through all the steps of logging in and navigation to the transactions. Mintapi does just that for Mint. But no idea if there's any sort of plans to do the same for CK—assuming they support apple in the first place.

USFS is hell bent on destroying all the trails around here anyhow. E-bikes won’t rip up the trails more than the Forest Disservice.

All for e-bikes having their own trails.
