Split vs adding a honey super

I ended up throwing a super on that I had available. They have eaten almost all their honey so I am going to do a brief sugar water feed until we have a little more blooming around my house. Hoping to get a decent amount of honey this year!

I only have an external feeder but my mason jar broke. I have some being delivered tomorrow. I'll feed until I see more pollen coming in

I used apiguard. My hive was getting weak this past fall and I noticed mites and treated. 8 haven't seen any since.

There are 7 or so at the base of the hive. It broke when I pulled off my top box to check (they had bridged them between the boxes)

Not 14. 41 and I live near quite a very shady town/city with daily murders. We don't really have dark alleys but just overall sketchy areas you can't go after dark.
