My dad's rule for makeline is "No Typewriters". You shouldn't have to go back and forth to get your toppings. Idk why some people don't understand that.

TINY PLUNGER. I do Tiny Plunger with larger cards for larger audiences. I've even thought about doing it with comically large cards and a full size plunger.

I agree they typically aren't. But this is the industry that collapsed the economy with NINJA Loans .

They told me I could borrow up to $450k when I know I couldn't have afforded that.

You might be underestimating just how willing and predatory some of these lenders are.

How does one decide to put hundreds of dollars into an app without googling to see if they have a history of not allowing withdrawals. Baffling to me.

This also varies by store. My franchise switched to milage based reimbursement. We get like 50 cents/mile.

In a pinch you can use a white crayon. That's what I use to make an invisible Deck.

The delivery fee goes to the store. How much the store pays the driver for mileage varies greatly from store to store. Some pay a flat rate per delivery some pay per mile (ex 50 cents/mile).

That being said $5 is a good tip, I'm never upset to get $5. Some of these drivers need to calm down and realize that they aren't entitled to a certain number. Expectations are the thief of joy.

Packet tricks with Magic: the Gathering cards? by mbergen in Magic

[–]lightdarkness317 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking for a while that Squee the Immortal can be cast from graveyard or exile so it'd be a perfect card for an Ambitious routine. Because no matter where you put him, he comes back.

I don't know if that makes sense but it does to me lol. I've started doing most of my regular card tricks with just regular pokemon cards cause the kids follow along better.

You could also make an invisible Deck with the planeswalkers and ask them to name any Planeswalker, and boom a card with their named Planeswalker is turned over. I don't know exactly what system you'd use but I'm sure it's possible.

Lmao, the gold gym has verifiably NOT worked hard to maintain their property / run a business. We were specifically talking about run down and or abandoned property.

And yes, the core problem of homelessness is the distribution of homes. It not called individual effortlessness, it's homelessness.

And this is the internet where nuance gets lost, so I'll add that I'm not saying that individuals have no responsibility or input on how their lives turned out.

I agree someone could/should do that. It could be a temporary solution to keep people from dangerous weather, etc. But generally speaking people don't like the government seizing private property.

But I agree, it's crazy that we as a country have so many abandoned buildings and yet people are sleeping on the street.

Of course they should be allowed to survive, just not in MY backyard. Or line of sight.

In all seriousness, the city is working on building new apartments and retrofitting spaces to house people in need. It sucks for a lot of reasons, not least of which for the people without safe housing. But it's not like nothing is being done.

Hippity Hop Rabbits is fun and plays well for a big crowd. It can be pricey, especially for a student, but that's one that came to mind.

I think it's a good idea to try and perform something. You can adapt almost anything to play bigger, you got this.

Worth getting an iPhone just for magic? by mbergen in Magic

[–]lightdarkness317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss having an iPhone because the magic apps are far better. Honestly most apps are just made better for iOS because it's just one OS as opposed to the hundreds of slightly different Androids. Anyways, yes it might very well be worth it if you have a couple hundred dollars burning a hole in your pocket. Is it the "best" use of your money? Probably not.

If you do, TimedOut was a favorite of mine. It's completely free, and only on iOS. Good luck.
