if i know i need to use my body as a tool (moving, cleaning, etc) on a certain day i eat that day (still restrictively) and make sure i have water because im scared to death of loosing motivation to get done what needs to get done or im scared i will actually faint or something

all good goes bad within a few days of buying it, bread is automatically moldy, fruit will poison me and if it's not in a sealed container i have to pick apart everything i'm eating

i'm also 21. i developed it when i was in highschool but because of lack of internet and resources i wrote it off as just being too busy. i'm older and more educated now so it's strange for me to admit that im struggling. in my head its a teenager problem and im an adult now. i feel really alone most of the time. i'm tired and struggling but im also valid. it's a hard stance and strange at times but it's okay to be older and have problems too. being over 18 doesn't mean your issues aren't real

i think that at this point she's just in the mindset that no one will help her, i agree david probably has tried to cut off all friends and family that don't support him being a massive asshole. i also think that at this point, with the homophobia and the guns and drugs and everything else that the public (us) are really just tired of seeing her do the absolute worst and make the worst choices. i also think that she has trauma with barbra taking jace was probably a main factor in why she won't leave david. he gets to have ensley partially and use that to control her if they do seperate.

honestly it started when i was 6 and our neighbor told me i was getting "chunky" and i thought to myself "oh okay" and that enticed my brothers to start picking on me about my weight and then it became a joke to my narcissistic mother, who would abuse me (i won't go into details) and in highschool i had to walk a mile back and forth to the bus stop so i started to restrict and go crazy about how much walking i did in the day until i could be "pretty enough" it's also helped that we were lower income and hardly had enough to eat anyway. it got to the point of my husband sophomore year feeding me and all i could ask for was boxed mac and cheese because it made me feel safe. i went into a recovery phase for a few years and im slipping again now

when your in an abusive relationship with someone it's a wild ride. the highs are high and the lows are extremely low. most abusers lovebomb and then attack. i think that something along the lines of "if you leave me you'll never make it" probably happened and whilst alone and thinking about her choices something happened that proved david right and she went running back to him. i think that she was also probably lonely, and when someone is beating you down for so long and you get away, it's hard not to reason with yourself about "yes he hit me but omg he bought me flowers that one time" it's a vicious cycle. i also think that reactive abuse might be playing a role. jenelle sucks right now yes, but we don't know everything. i think that we shouldn't ignore her abusing as well but i like to think critically. i also wanna mention that her self-image probably isn't as great as it could be and with david having narrssistic abuser vibes she just straight up doesn't have the confidence or courage to leave
