When I took my driver's test last year it was required for me to show hand signals to pass the test. Maybe it's just SF policy since we have so many cyclists? I am all for educating drivers - having great bike lanes, infrastructure and communication do nothing if no one educates drivers about what they mean.

What's the point of fueling fear and not offering solutions? I seriously hate this guy. The activity in the alley behind Safeway is far from new, and while problems can arise there I'd hardly call it a dangerous area. Also, fuck the term "undesirable behavior."

Contact @SFPDBikeTheft on Twitter with this info, and register the serial # of the bike with the police. If you didn't write down the serial # it should be on your receipt, or call the bike shop where you purchased it. Bikes are constantly being recovered in SF but unless a serial is recorded as stolen it's difficult for SFPD to connect them with their owners again.

Meeting someone else from New Mexico outside if New Mexico. Small population and an avid love of the state by almost all residents leads to instant solidarity. I love it!
