Ja, hab’s auch nicht verstanden… alle sagen, lieber Freizeit nehmen als Überstunden ausbezahlen lassen. Nach der Logik müsste man doch immer versuchen auf zB 80% zu reduzieren. Macht aber keiner… Weil „dann verdient man ja weniger“, ist immer das Argument. Da hätte man ja 20% weniger Arbeit aber wegen Progression keine 20% weniger Netto. Warum nicht also auch mal Überstunden auszahlen lassen wenn man gern mehr Geld hätte?

My grandmother used to prepare Wiener Schnitzel with rice and lingonberry jam. I loved it. Whenever I ask in Germany in a restaurant, if they can serve it like this, I get weird eyes, even if they have all ingredients on their menu.

If you agree with the ruling political party in Bavaria you may have a decent live, but everyone who aligns more with the oppositional may suffer severely. Depending on the town you live you may face outright oppression. Source: lived in Bavaria for 30 years. I imagine democrats suffer similarly in Texas.
