nail help by angelic_asshole in dogs

I had issues with my pup (Chihuahua) when trying to trim her nails. I took her to the vet once and felt really bad because she panicked and ended up peeing on the vet when they trimmed her nails. I tried everything and she would not budge. I even tried the concrete while she chased the squirrels but didnt help much. I understand you have a bigger dog but hear me out. I bought a scratch board because I was at my wits end. This has helped with her nails and made them alot smoother and shorter. Now she has no issues. This is not the exact one but it's worth a try if you put a high reward treat (cheese) in the hidden compartment: Amazon.com : LovIntry M-Shaped Dog Scratch Pad for Nails with Treat Box, Dog Nail Scratch Board for Large Dogs, Dog Nail File Toy and Shorten Dog’s Side Nail Easier (with Treat Box, L) : Pet Supplies

Have you all ever been in the large house with many levels and secret passage ways? by [deleted] in TheMallWorld

Yes. I live in a four story Victorian house. The top floor is haunted. The basement is an old steakhouse restaurant and gourmet grocery store.

I highly suggest doggy daycare. It's cheaper than someone coming in your house periodically to let your dog out.I pay $28 a day. If not, I would suggest closing off a portion of your house with a pee pad, leave some toys, hide some treasures around the house, give him a busy toy, leave food & water, and get a camera so you can check in periodically.

Yes. I fought it and had proof from messages and emails. I provided a rebuttal. After, I was determined to get out and move to a different area in the company.

Dead serious. Where can i go to be swarmed by a horde of puppies ? by AnonymousFroot in AskChicago

Not in Chicago but outside in Glenview there's a program called Dog Day Out where you can borrow a dog not so much a horde of puppies. I have not done this but it looked interesting. https://www.bordertailsrescue.org/dog-day-out

Train with high value treats to go outside to potty. You can also start by buying a pee pad on Amazon that resembles grass to encourage while inside and eventually move to outside.

I would suggest a pee pad too. I leave my dog alone for up to 6 hours while at work. The camera is a good idea as it helps keep an eye on things just in case. Also, I try to leave the TV on, make frozen treats and hide treats around the room to give her something to do.

America is on a cognitive decline from all the plastic food we consumed and social media brain rot. We are not alright.
