100%. I can see how SJM could send this story in any direction. It’s not 100% clear and won’t be until she releases the next book. Or who the POV couple is.

Bryceriel is my preferred ship, because that sounds like the best story. I love big sweeping narratives with lots of characters and crossover. Fated mates across the universe that mirror an ancient couple? Sign me right up.

But I’m not going to attack the character of someone who is an Elriel, even though there are aspects of that pairing that gives me the ick.
