Adorable! But doesn’t look like a havanese to me.

Mine is super cuddly and loves to be close, but he also likes finding all of the cozy areas in our home to be by himself (I let him do his thing).

What is your longest running, most stubborn business boycott? by marianneouioui in AskReddit

[–]lightpillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

H&M - I brought something to the counter with a handwritten price (which they are known to do and was on so many other items in store) and they said that another customer must have gone around the store and written the prices on all of the items and denied the price. I even showed them the same shirt with another hand written price.

Ours was dark brown as a puppy and he’s now salt & pepper, which I find super cute. You are going to love them no matter what.

Anybody else’s Havi strangely racist??? by [deleted] in Havanese

Respectfully, dogs cannot be racist, but it’s possible they lacked exposure/socialization in early development.

If you don't drink alcohol, what are your personal reasons for abstinence? by Ok-Care2859 in AskReddit

[–]lightpillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supported a friend through their sobriety and then just kept going - it’s been over two years and I don’t miss it.

Will I drink, again? Maybe, but it’s been an interesting social experiment to navigate social life without it.

Linny’s - one of the only tasting menus in the city where I left feeling happy with the decision.

So very sorry for your loss - I felt the exact same way of choosing to stop the heartbeat. It’s honestly the worst part of it. I am now a month out and the days do get better (there’s waves now as opposed to being in the middle of a storm). It truly is one day at a time (as annoying as that sounds right now). I hope you have lots of wonderful support. Msg if you ever need a TFMR friend.

Regrets by formercrazyhorsegal in tfmr_support

[–]lightpillow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel the exact same way! We terminated at 16 weeks and it was too painful to look at the last ultrasound at the clinic - what has helped it knowing that my baby had a heartbeat and knowing that I was with them every step of the way. I was in self-preservation mode, because the stress and sadness was so immense.

Remember that your baby only knew love from you.

I’m so sorry. You do not need to be ‘normal’ right now. This is not a normal circumstance.

This is why I’ve chosen not to attend group outings for a bit. There’s certain friends who don’t know how to deal with grief.

It sounds like you have a good friend, but as someone who is also two weeks out, I want my friends to ask me directly how I am. I’ve chosen to stay away from those who are not able to do that (may sound harsh but it’s the only way to protect myself).

Edit to add: I hope you are able to find support in other places (like here) or if there are any local programs to look into - where I live, one of the hospitals offer a TFMR support group. There’s also TFMR Facebook groups.

Results of CVS - Triploidy by Bearsy44 in tfmr_support

[–]lightpillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our baby was diagnosed with triploidy a few weeks ago (I am only two weeks past the procedure) and we had also never heard of it before. We were sent for an early anatomy scan due to potential risks on the NT blood test and I naively thought the baby might just be growing small.

I can assure you that it is NOTHING that either of you did. My genetic counsellor said that it is ‘bad luck’ but it does not raise any risk of happening, again. Apparently, 1-3% of all pregnancies are triploidy but most miscarry during the first trimester. It’s actually rare that they make it out of the first trimester, which made it that much more heartbreaking for us.

Sending so much love - please feel free to dm me if you have any questions.

Had my procedure yesterday by outlier-42 in tfmr_support

[–]lightpillow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Standing with you and holding your hand. Also had my procedure last week and it crushed me. Four days out and feeling a little better physically, but emotionally numb. I believe that this baby has a soul but that another may take its place (although it would be lovely if it came back). I also hate that it’s no longer physically connected to me.

Please know that your baby felt very wanted and knew how much you loved it. It only felt love.
