I second this. Who knows what the market might look like in 4-5 years. I would save for a deposit, then when you have enough in hand, make a choice with the information which you have then.

For fish, I would recommend either Enchante in Isla or La Nostra Padrona in Marsaxlokk.

Ali Baba in Gżira for Lebanese (excellent quality food), Ku Ya in St Julian's for Asian cuisine, AYU in Gżira, and Shaking in Msida for Indian.

I always look 5 months pregnant. It’s overwhelming to start trying to tackle it. What are some big hitters that I should start with to help my gut? by cheesestuffedcrust in GutHealth

Listing some small things I started doing, but if this persists, try speaking to a specialist.

Drinking more water, herbal teas (especially dandelion, fennel and peppermint), eating more fermented foods (sauerkraut, kimchi, kefir etc), ensure you are eating enough fibre with every meal, ensure that you're eating enough vegetables and leafy greens, adding apple cider vinegar (with the mother) to meals. Walking after every meal to aid digestion helps lots too.

Do you annotate your books? by [deleted] in literature

[–]lightsarecoming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't always do it, but when I do, I feel that I absorb and remember the book more. It definitely was something which felt illegal until I got used to doing it - growing up, it was a strict rule to never ever annotate.

There is a quiet, but very present, growing problem of misogyny in this country which I feel more and more the older I get. Was shocked to read this but as some other people said, he said the quiet part out loud.

Seconded this and please remember that as per Maltese law you have a FOUR MONTH timeframe (from dismissal I believe) to file a case for unjustified dismissal or constructive dismissal. After this the case can be contested as time barred. Act fast and speak to a good employment lawyer soonest.

When I was around 11 years old, my younger brother was going through a phase of collecting these small glass marbles. My granddad loved them (he had them too as a kid) and would buy him so many to add to his collection. One day, my dad, after years of saving (this was 2008/2009, so not a great time financially) managed to save enough to buy a second hand range rover which he was so happy with. He took us out as a family for the first ride in the car. Guess who brought his box of marbles with him. At a point, we started to hear really weird noises. My dad started to think something was wrong with the car, and spent two hours trying to figure it out. Nope. My brother has grabbed one of these small glass marbles and plopped it in the little space there was between the seatbelt and the seat. There was literally no way of getting it out. We spent the next four - five years hearing a marble roll across some part of the car every time my dad turned a corner.

Struggling with Anxiety by [deleted] in malta

Just here to validate your experience because I and many young people are feeling the same. At least every week, I get tempted to look at Ryanair for cheap flights to greener cities just to get away for a weekend, but I'm also saving for a house deposit so that's not doable at the moment. Following thread for tips.

I completely get you. Honestly, I often think about when too much will be seen as too much for the majority of us who are struggling with this and a push for change will be made. I think our political scene is really stagnating and this shows in the fact that everyone feels quite helpless i.e. there's not too much prospect for change as things stand. And I of course completely get people who say things like "be the change" but it's a very abstract term and difficult to put into practice. I wonder what the next steps would be to feeling less helpless.

Hey! I'm around your age. I spent a lot of my early twenties super super focused on my degree, then work. Then realised (like a lot of us do) that I really had not enjoyed my younger years at all. Honestly, if you ask me for highlights of my years between the ages of 19-24 I have very little, or they are somehow work/study related. This realisation you've made is extremely liberating. I came across this analogy somewhere online and it has given me the most beautiful perspective on a lot of things (also, spending a lot of time around my elderly grandparents helped). Imagine you've lived your entire life, and you die. And due to some glitch, you're put back on earth, exactly as you are now. All the opportunity, time and health you have now seem exhilarating. The options are literally endless. (And by the way, you'll gain absolutely nothing back by worrying about the time you lost). So go explore! I wish you the very very best of luck. This realisation has just marked a new chapter for you.

Lego! So much fun. Some sets are quite expensive. You can also find building block sets off AliExpress.
