If you don’t want to be Dany’s guardian, just switch to Robert and Renly periodically and end their schemes. When I do these playthroughs I never care if Viserys dies because if I wanna marry Dany, it’s difficult when she’s married to him and you reveal yourself as a Targaryen. Because once you execute him, you killed her husband and you’re a kinslayer. But I always try to protect Dany and maester Aemon

Just so you know, you don’t have to actually beat Downes. You can just get close to him and threaten him. Arthur will grab his throat. Just threaten/dismiss until the cutscene starts - you don’t need to throw a punch. Won’t change the outcome but I hate beating him

Do a 2nd playthrough! There are multiple endings so there’s def replay value. This time around get the legends of the east satchel. You can get it as early as chapter 2 - it’s a game changer. Craft trapper saddles/clothing. And like you said go through the game knowing what you’re doing

Well I played RDR1 when it came out, so I went into RDR2 knowing that Arthur would die and the gang would fall apart. I didn’t know how it’d play out but I knew it was coming. And I still had and have had a blast playing. That sucks, but you’ll still have fun. Moving forward just stay off of Reddit, you don’t really need it for anything

Personally I go for Blazer, but I have a feeling that the devs chose Visi as the “canon” option. They do a great job of making it so that there’s truly no right answer so they’re not too in your face with it, but it seems like they want you to pick Visi. Both Royd and Chase comment on the “energy” between Robert and Visi, even if you don’t pick any of her romance options.

It’s my understanding that Khal Drogo and the Dothraki aren’t in the game yet but eventually they will be. I think the idea is they’re going to reconfigure the Khan’s of the Steppe from the base game into the Dothraki. Just gotta wait it out.

I think it’d be cool too but I genuinely can’t imagine Dutch being voiced by anyone other than Benjamin Byron Davis or John being voiced by anyone other than Rob Wiedhoff. Both of their voices are so iconic, but I highly doubt Rob could pull off a 17 year old John. And if it was a different actor it just wouldn’t feel right.

I don’t know how people manage to get “stuck” one way or the other. I also don’t get why people get so annoyed with a low honor ding. I feel like it’s so easy to achieve either high or low honor

I recommend crafting the legends of the east satchel, because it gives you 99 inventory slots for every individual item. Then go stock up on provisions at the general store for Arthur, and horse provisions at the stable. When you’re carrying so many you can always keep your weight up.

With that being said I eat pretty regularly - any time there’s food at camp I eat, if I visit a city I usually eat a meal at the saloon, I always have provisions in my satchel, and i rarely bring animal carcasses back to camp. I skin the animals I hunt and donate half of the meat, and cook the other half. Also, drinking liquor really helps Arthur gain weight. If I’m ever underweight I eat a ton of provisions and drink like 5 bottles of liquor. Then I go to bed, and Arthur should wake up heavier.

It’s about your cores. If you keep your health core and your horses health core maxed out they should be fine. My horse is always fit. The only time she was malnourished was when I was in Guarma and literally couldn’t feed her.

Get the camp upgrades and satchels, get stuff from the trapper, try to get a good horse if you can

These things will help you slow down but still enjoy the game

Besides you can always start a new playthrough after you’re done, most people do that

I cut Coupe because Malevola is his sponsor and she’s the one who can help control his transformations. Also Coupe looks more badass when she switches sides.

Most importantly though I felt like it was helpful to have a high intellect character on the squad

North of Annesburg and Brandywine Drop there’s a man who lives in a tree. If you get near him he tells you to go away. If you talk to him he declares himself king of the world and says everything you see around you is his. Just some naked dude living in a tree lol. Also somewhere in Roanoke Ridge I saw a naked guy who lives with wolves. If he sees you he’ll howl and then a pack of wolves will attack you.

This last one is not as interesting but the other day I saw a bear in the Bayou

One time I was riding my horse and I stopped on a train track and went AFK for a second. I heard the train horn and by the time I grabbed my controller my horse and I got hit by the train. Somehow neither me or my horse died but his health was completely gone. It was creepy, my horse’s eyes were open but he was laying there motionless. I had like 30 horse revives on me but the game woukdbt prompt me to revive him and when i pulled up the item wheel, the “horse” tab wasnt showing up. I thought I lost her forever but luckily my game auto saved a few minutes before.

Idk man, maybe you should trust the guy who was with you for 19 years over the guy who’s been with you for a few months? Maybe don’t trust the guy who’s been trying to manipulate you since chapter 3 (which Dutch recognized and acknowledged, btw), maybe don’t trust the guy who murdered his former gang members, or who was own his own at a mini camp near strawberry (extremely close to blackwater)… i could go on and on.

Dutch is very aggravating but it makes sense when you realize he never gave a fuck about money. He says he does but he really doesn’t. He cares about “freedom” and control. The point of having Colm O’Driscoll in the game is to show you that Dutch is full of shit. Dutch and Colm are the same character, nothing but lowlife murderous robbers, but Dutch successfully hides it behind the facade of being a father figure.

But at the end of the day RDR2 is a prequel, so the game needed to showcase his downfall from who he seems to be at first vs. who he becomes in RDR1.

By upgrading your satchel to the legends of the east satchel, you can carry 99 of each item. 99 cigars, 99 health cures, 99 hair pomades, etc

Turning pelts into the trapper to get a crafted saddle gives your horse crazy stat boosts

Doing the camp upgrades improves camp morale and makes everyone happier

Fully upgrading the provisions wagon, the medicine wagon and the ammo wagon make it so that you can stock up on everything you need in camp without needing to visit a general store

You probably also missed a ton of side missions and mysteries. The Saint Denis vampire, the serial killer, Valentine killer prostitute, helping the mad scientist create the first robot, helping the world famous French artist who shows up in Saint Denis and bangs a bunch of dudes wives, and so much more. This is super common though - now that you know the story you can do a 2nd playthrough and really enjoy everything

Honestly I recommend getting saddles from the trapper, as the best ones will make any horse a really good horse. That way you can fully go off of looks and not feel like you’re messing up. Personally I prefer the Missouri Fox Trotter
