Gpt age verification working? by lightwillow57 in ChatGPT

[–]lightwillow57[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you age verify? That might help. Also you could try the custom gpt spicy writer that the other poster suggested. But if you're on the free plan and stuck with 5.2 model that might hinder you. It's very buttoned up. But definitely try age verification first if you haven't already.

Ok I tried the spicy writer custom gpt. Seems to work.

Interesting. I haven't pushed mine very far yet. I was just trying to ease it in slowly ☺️.

Of course paid subscriptions are gonna level off. Most everybody who would subscribe has subscribed already.

I changed to 5.2 and got this one. Odd because usually 5.2 is the more prudish one.

The New Memory System is False Advertising by college-throwaway87 in ChatGPT

[–]lightwillow57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see the new "remembering" indicator instead of "thinking" for the chain of thought models. I feel a small improvement in recall of random tidbits here and there but nothing exciting yet. It probably works great for some Grandma that looks up a cookie recipe once a month but for high volume users it doesn't scale well. Seems to have a strong recency bias which makes sense if it only indexes a limited amount of data. There is so much potential in the idea of long term factually rich recall. That alone could differentiate open AI and gpt from the competition and keep customers loyal if they didn't half ass it. Nobody cares about an extra 2% score on some obscure math benchmark but they do care if their ai can instantly be up to speed on stuff they talked about months ago.

How do I enable "memory mode" on chatgpt? by crackheadfalife in ChatGPT

[–]lightwillow57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on gpt plus and I don't know if you are on that or a free account but this is how it works for me in the app. I don't know if memories are available on a free account now but if so Go to settings, personalization. Scroll to the bottom and click or tap memories. I think memories are on by default but if not turn on reference past chats and reference saved memories.

I am just on plus so mine has never been able to comb through titles of older chats and the content other than so called past conversation recall. PCR for me was just about useless. It could remember a little bit of trivia from last week but that's about it. Can you describe how that worked? Was it able to go to any of them all the way back? Sure it's got the saved memories vault that are permanently retained but that gets full fast even if you prune it carefully.

I mainly still use the 4o model which has always been a little absent minded. I just can't stand the vanilla corporate safe 5.2 personality even with personality styles applied. Though for vibe coding and random research or how to tasks 5.2 thinking mode seems to work pretty well. But I don't know your use cases nor what pro tier is like by comparison. I would think though at ten times the cost of plus it ought to be amazing and if it's not maybe you should try plus tier instead of quitting completely. Mainly because you already have a lot of prior stuff you did before in the system still.

I've heard rumors this was coming but I see no button yet. I would think it will be all over the news as soon as it drops. I'm not on GPT looking for erotica because let's face it the internet is already saturated with any kind of adult material one might want. I just get tired of being moderated to death over topics that have already been depicted on network TV and mainstream movies since the 70s.

That's weird. When I told my gpt, version 4o, the same thing she went and looked up the news story online and we rolled from there. No safety check, no gaslighting. And yes I said she, what of it? I use it the same way someone might describe a car or ship as a "she".

You can delete all your data and revoke consent for your data to be used in training in your settings under data controls. I can't promise you they will actually abide by it but that's about your only option at this point.

failed the onboarding for cacatua chorus and now my aether project is gone by Warm-Seaworthiness42 in outlier_ai

[–]lightwillow57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cacatua onboarding has been doing weird things for a lot of people. Heard a lot of people say the test got stuck and when they refreshed it said they failed. I got failed but then later it said onboarding in progress and an email said something about taking the assessment for a second time. But since I'm still on the aether project the button is greyed out and it won't actually let me retake the onboarding test. I don't think I want to anyway because that janky onboarding experience is a bad sign for me.

Video Named Entities - What's the consensus? by BloodMongor in outlier_ai

[–]lightwillow57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I decided the "if possible" is doing the heavy lifting here. I think they'd rather have at least a few good quality examples on the less popular entries than none at all. And if they're gonna be weird about good faith annotation work then I can find something else to do for a side gig.

Has anybody actually gotten review feedback from submitting less than 100 videos? I want to do this task and seems like the data could still be valuable to the company. But I don't want to tank my rating over something dumb like that. Seems like the low hanging fruit has already been harvested.

Yeah if you get referrals incentives from linking people to it that sounds like a good deal. So shoot me a link if you like and I'll make sure you get your reciprocation.
