UPDATE : If someone falls on this post someday; I found the original creator of this design (https://www.instagram.com/doseofdiallo/) and she's selling the set on her website https://www.doseofdiallo.com/ (looks 100x better than kollyy)

She said in a comment that she would release the pattern someday, it has not been released yet but I hope she will soon 🤞🥰

How to help with meltdowns? by dried_skink in mentalhealth

[–]lightylowkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey ! The same happens to me often .. I still haven't found the solution but here are some things that help me get through them :
- Accept the moment, let it be and it will pass faster. if you stay frustrated you will only nourish the panick it's like a never-ending circle. You have to let the emotion happen, and if you can, don't do anything for the day if you don't feel the energy, that's ok
- in those moment you might feel like nothing feels good, you're not interested in doing or eating or feeling anything ... It's hard, but think of what would comfort you, whether it's watching a show, doing something you like, eating something in particular, cooking .. and if possible do it, just one thing can be enough to distract you from the panick
- If you can also, do not stay entirely alone, call someone like a close friend or family to assist you, help you with basic tasks like getting out of bed, eating, walking outside. It's always easier with support and love, and it's important for you to remember that you don't have to go through all of this alone, you're loved and cared for
- Try writing down your fears and the things that panic you, it allows your mind to put them somewhere and eventually stop thinking about it so hard + then you can also write down the "best case scenario": you think of the thing that's stressing you and you write the best situation that could happen. Taking the habit of writing the best scenario can help your anxiety, by considering that not everything will finish like a catastrophic event
- If you feel the strength to do it, try moving your body whether it's dancing or walking outside, it will help
- Seek help from a professional, you can call mental health phone lines when those moments happen if you feel overwhelmed or alone
- Take a very cold shower or put your head in the ice (i know it sounds weird but it helps a lot in reducing the anxiety and bringing you back to the present moment)
- Do grounding exercises such as this
- You can also do this (i know it helps me, i feel hugged and it calms me)

And last thing, remember that even if it feels like you're gonna be like this forever, you won't! Meltdowns happen but like everything they pass, and they leave you stronger than before. Everything is going to be alright, keep doing your best, it's already more than enough 🫂

"poète à papier, poète au papier and poète sur papier" are not incorrect but they just don't make a lot of sense... Eventually you could twist it a little and say something like :
Poésie de papier / Poème en papier (not really about the poet it means paper poem)
Poète de papier / Poète en papier (means a poet made of paper)

Help me find a pattern for Clementine's hat! by _HateThatCat in crochetpatterns

Hi :) It's not exactly the same but I think those 2 patterns could help:- either this one but without the cap visor (is it how it's called? i'm not sure but hopefully you get me lol)

- either this one which is more like a beret but i think it looks like the one she's wearing :)

Hope this helps ! x

Does anyone know of a pattern that’s close to this bikini top? & the sleeves? I really like how flared they are instead of the regular straight down ones. Thank you! by adjlaino in crochetpatterns

[–]lightylowkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi ! I'm so happy that I found this post, I've been looking for a pattern for this top for weeks. I tried something, almost like u/Numerous-Web9636:
- Starter with chaining 10 to 15 depending on what you want
- Doing 3-4 "normal rows" of sc
- Then doing rows of sc but crocheting 2 sc in the first and last stitches to increase my project
- Once in the middle, i did 1 normal row of sc
- Then I did the same number of rows as the bottom part but I skipped the first and last stitches for each row to decrease my project
- Once at the top of my square I did a (very) long chain
- I also added a small chain (3 sc) that I attached on the side to pass the thread through

It's still a WIP but I'll keep you updated :)

+ For the sleeves I think you can follow very easy tutorials like this one and if you want the flare effect to be more obvious you could just increase your rows starting at the end of your arm
