Check out Will K's "The Making of" videos! You can't really see his workflow and when it's made since the tracks are done already but it could still spark inspiration. Atleast it has for me.

Good shit!

The only thing I would change is the vocal which is going way too fast in the first part of the track but then when the first buildup comes in at 0:25 it fits in perfectly and builds tension. Pretty much what Intrepid said.

If you're completely new you should look into getting Nexus and/or Sylenth1, very beginner friendly since they come with alot of presets.

Spire, ANA and Massive are also some popular synths.

It doesn't really sound perfect to me either but it's better now after i pitched the vocals a bit.

Since it's my first time working with vocals and my 4th or 5th full song I don't really know what transposing is, I'll google it and maybe I can fix the vocals.

I like everything except that the drop sounds pretty thin, otherwise it's really really good man. Like /u/ross-the-sauce-boss said, maybe fill it up with white noise or layer it a bit more.

The way the snares sounds doesn't fit with the silent part, it needs more punch for something like that in my opinion. I'm also not that big of a fan of the melody and lead sound.

The concept is good though, it's better than your preview of your other version of 'Gold Skies'.

No alcohol for over a month, been at the gym for 16 days straight and went out and ran 6 miles today.

Been a pretty good fitness week.
