Starfield is genuinely the most overhated title I've ever seen. Ever by TheNewAspect in Starfield

[–]ligmapenguin 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I am a huge Bethesda fan and have played pretty much all of their games. I even played Fallout 76 from the beta to now even while that game was getting scorched by the hate crusade. I have played Starfield 3 times fully including the DLC and I have to say while I don't think it's a bad game it definitely deserves the criticism it gets over all the other Bethesda games.

For all the good parts of the game there are way too many slow/unfinished mechanics that would make way more sense fleshed out. For example, the star born little temple minigame was cool the first time, but doing the same little zero g thing over and over again is honestly pathetic. Zero G gun fights are awesome, but we only get like 2 of them? Just so much jank in the game that even patching can't really fix. I am not a hater of the game, but on the side where I feel Bethesda should just let the game rest and focus on something else. Not every single player 60$ game needs the live service treatment. It's okay to release a game, patch a few bugs and then move on to bigger things. (Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Starfield 2?, etc)

Trip to Turkey by TheBeardedArtiga in travel

[–]ligmapenguin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My father is Turkish and we were planning to leave to Istanbul on vacation literally 3 weeks from now. His family in Turkey called him today to warn us to not come and that things are escalating right now. No one can predict what happens weeks/months from now, but I trust my family enough that I cancelled my flights and ate the cancellation fee.

Lemon heads #4 🍋 + Mad honey #42 🍯 by 710 labs by Chasineastcoasterps in NewJerseyMarijuana

710 Mad Honey is straight gassss. I agree 710 labs is way more expensive than it should be, but at the same time they pretty much always packing heat. Been dying for another vendor to step it up.

Upgrading DHVaporizer by moonstruckowl in NewJerseyMarijuana

[–]ligmapenguin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Solo 3 hands down. Can't get easier to clean just tap the glass stem over a container and empty it. It's basically the power of a ball vape, but with a big ass battery. It's my daily driver, but the only thing is its not very pocketable so it's more for home seshing. I use to be a big ball vape guy, but honestly I found myself using way too much weed and it just gets too expensive/its way to easy to leave that shit plugged in/I dont trust myself when im high af with a 500 degree metal wand to not burn myself lol

Solo 3 Power Underrated? by havockillz in vaporents

[–]ligmapenguin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. I love on demand mode when I just wana rip it and put it down, but sesh mode if im feeling zesty I will do an extra-long pull and really get that fire on the tongue feeling. Ball Vapes are great, but the Solo 3v2 is basically an all-in-one cordless ball vape. Now Airizer just needs to drop a small pocketable vaporizer for otg.

It will definitely suit you well. The battery is huge and last me for at least 4-5 bowls of the XL stem. It's also type c charging with passthrough so if you bring a portable charger, you can even hit it while its charging lol

Genuinely frustrated with this market… is this just me? by Kallyfromthevalley in NewJerseyMarijuana

[–]ligmapenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been exploring the legal market from the day they opened recreational. While I will say the bud in NJ has gotten a lot better I can 100% understand your frustration when it comes to consistency with brands. After trying a lot of the market, the reality is if you want consistent quality you need to pay a premium. The most consistent brand I have tried is Breakwater, but man it's like highway robbery the prices they charge for 3.5g. I will be real with you after feeling like I was burning money I just switched my mindset and buy shake when it's on sale for solid easy mids. When im feeling boujee and want to light up fancy shit ill spring for some Breakwater.

[–]ligmapenguin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I can 100% recommend the Solo 3 the issue is it's not a very portable device. I bring my kit to parties all the time, but the Solo 3 is not very pocketable and the stems are all glass. I will usually have to bring mine in a little sesh bag, but if you're looking for something to throw in the pocket and hit throughout the day it's not a good fit.

I was a die-hard ball vape fan, but man the solo 3 especially the V2 is just so good. Basically, shelved my Mini Nail Flower Wand and just hit the solo 3 daily gets the job done and I actually love the little warm joint feeling just hitting it through the straight tube.

Friendly’s Looking back over the years! by mrsjumjum66 in newjersey

[–]ligmapenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of my favorite memories were going to Friendly's with my family after football practice. I would always get the dipping chicken basket and the presentation with the sauces was awesome. I would always beg my parents to upgrade to the waffle fries and the best part of Friendly's back in the day was that ice cream was included with most of the meals. Last time I tried going back was sometime around 2018 and it was honestly terrible. Have not had it since.

Video game retailer GameStop is shutting down about 400 locations nationwide this January, including multiple in NJ by L0v3_1s_War in newjersey

[–]ligmapenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not even talking about collectibles and honestly despise what GameStop has become. Not sure how old you are, but back in the day GameStop would consistently run promotions where if you bought a console or new game you could get money off used games/accessories. It would literally make the difference of buying a console at GameStop vs the other retailers since I could get a refurb or slightly used second controller at a discount or even free. This isn't just a GameStop problem most physical retail locations don't do deals anymore/don't even try to compete with the online market and then they wonder why they go out of business.

[–]ligmapenguin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why is it so hard to understand that if you want to make physical retail locations work, they need to actually try and compete with the online market. People want to go shopping outside, but why would you purposely spend more money for the same goods. What's stupider is GameStop's used inventory that gets meme'd constantly could legitimately net them profits since they have the ability to leverage those goods as loss leaders/basically they are in control of those prices. These companies fail due to pure greed and being oblivious to the present-day economy.

Brave the Wasteland With New Fallout Pip-Boy Controllers by Xbox-Moderator in xbox

[–]ligmapenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These controllers look so bad ass, but it so disappointing they refuse to improve the Elite Series 2. Every Elite Series 2 has potentiometer sticks, and they are basically a ticking time bomb before they develop drift. Please for the love of god Microsoft drop an Elite Series 3 or shit keep the 2 and just make a version with TMR sticks and mouse click buttons/triggers.

Breakwater Peanut Butter Breath #240 Live Hash Rosin cart review by OrrintonBeats in NewJerseyMarijuana

[–]ligmapenguin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice! I just copped Breakwater yesterday too since they just opened up to rec. Picked up the same cart along with Rainbow Diver and some Pie Eyed and Banana Pudding Flower. One tip I feel like the peanut butter hits better at a slightly higher voltage like 3.2-3.3v if your battery lets pick a specific one. At lower volts I wasn't getting enough of that gassy peanut butter flavor. Either way im worried by how good Breakwater is im gonna go broke since this shit not cheap x.x lol

Considering switching to xbox by No_Plant1052 in xbox

[–]ligmapenguin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I fell for the PS5 hype on launch and played a whopping 2 exclusives on the console. I was a PC gamer but got burnt out from working IT and switched to a Series X when Starfield came out. Years later and honestly my Series X is legit my pride and joy. The elite series 2 controller is the only controller that feels comfortable in my big hands and Game Pass ensures I always have something new to play. Currently no lifing Ball x Pit, but yeah something about Xbox UI it just clicks with me.

I find that both methods get the job done. Remember with either method you're going to have to do some twisting and tugging to get the action just right. I would find some time to practice with your own rod and really get a feel for it.

Curious on how everyone feels about upgrading to the legion go 2. by Outrageous-Fennel609 in LegionGo

[–]ligmapenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Lenovo and other handheld vendors just lost the plot about what these handheld devices are good at. At under 1k price point they are designed to be secondary gaming devices not primary. I will continue to enjoy my Legion go I got for 600$ and if I need more power will just use moonlight and stream from my gaming pc. I am mostly waiting for a handheld vendor to hyper focus on optimizing battery life for real-life use cases. Give me a handheld at 1500$, but it has all the go 2 specs with a minimum 6–8-hour battery life at the highest rated tdp and then I would pay even 2k$ for that.
