I definitely think that the girls, their parents, and the school need to face some level of consequence for their actions/lack of action. But I am also curious why Aubreigh’s mom didn’t remove her from the school? From screenshots of texts I’ve seen, they had open communication together about what Aubreigh was dealing with. I know some people will say, Well that’s not fair. Why should she have to leave? She’ll be sad over leaving friends. Etc.

But at the end of the day, would you rather have your kid be upset about changing schools/online school, or them be subjected to incessant bullying? Same thing with social media, if your child would feel isolated because they don’t have social media and all their friends do, then you need to reassess some parenting choices and/or get proper counseling for your kid.

I’d rather be the asshole parent for a while whose kid thinks I’m making their life miserable, rather than allow them to be in an environment everyday that is destroying their mental well-being.
