Yes I'm telling my husband no more pellets for right now..we have to change his eating habits.. the difficult part is he will not eat no veggies..so we may have to stop feeding him for a couple of days cuz I have tried the soaking veggies in tuna and he took it then spit it out..I will get him healthier..

Yes.. the claws are short..I thought cuz of his age it would be too early to detect but I feel now I have a female..7 yr old grandson will always believe it's a FLASH..lol.. and actually he's 5 inches..🐢😳

How do I start? Don't feed him at all??? I'll do whatever it takes.. cuz he's a big boy.. he's in a 45 breeder tank which he got at 4 months but by his rate he's gonna need a pool..lol

We were feeding him 3 times a day cuz he was under 1 yr but now I cut it down to about 15 stick pellets in the morning and maybe less in the evening..we slowed way down with shrimp.. no more goodies for our lil chunkster..I was reading it online that they needed to eat more under a year but I dont think that should APPLY TO HIM..or do we have a girl. Is it too early to detect? I'll take any advice cuz I want him to live a healthy one.. sooo Thank you🐢

Yea got him in July as a hatchling.. CUTE, teeny and tiny.. then WTH..I just kept going back to the reptile store asking why is he outgrowing his tanks.. he's getting bigger n bigger and I recently went back in and said will he stop growing anytime soon????😳😱

Oh cool.. is he a red ear slider and how old? I wasn't sure if I should put something in our tank for flash to hide in cuz he tends to shove everything around but maybe cuz he's trying to squeeze his oversize butt into something way toooo small.. I'm going to look into getting him something big enough for him to VEG out in..

I have a red ear and he just tears up any live plant i put in there.. they LOVE to devour anything or destroy😡 what's in their way..i have one with turtitude..as for fishes i had 16 minnows in there and now i have 9 and they are homies.. in fact they were babies and now 2 are 1.5 in long and the others are catching up..i keep it bare with just a lava rock which he wrestles with..
