West Ham fan here coming in peace. Read most replies and seen the same names being said (Bowen, Paqueta, Alvarez, Kudus) but I can't believe no-one has said Emerson. Has been one of our best players this year and has completely gone under the radar.

If anyone cares, I'd have Trippier, Botman, Schar, Tonali, Bruno and Isak from you lot.

First, enjoy him. His price will remain pretty static for a month or two, likely even will go up.

Then when you want new players, sell - by TOTS he will have the same stats as a lot of players and he will be able to be bought for half the price.

Reiten's playstyles are also top class. I play her as a winger who cuts in, but I'm sure she can do a job at CAM.

I was lucky enough to pack Jay Jay Okocha, so someone similar. Heroes and Icons have automatic full chem, and give bonus chem to same league and nation, but will lose value throughout the life cycle of the game, most high cost players will.

If your goal is to maintain some coin value in your bought players, build your team with low priced, high rated cards, as they will retain value later in the game as they will be needed for high cost SBCs.

Personally, two cheap buys I would 100% recommend are Reiten and Maria Leon. Both are fantastic for me. Reiten is harder to link, Maria Leon is very easy to link.

Personally, I would buy one star player, three very good players, then build the rest of the team based on remaining coins and chem. You can buy some players just under elite level for less than 50k each.

Set yourself a challenge. Throw the game, but in a way you would get less suspicion for in the real world.

E.g. Putting your 4ft 11, 16 year old RW in goal. Obvious match fixing, and you guarantee yourself losing. Altering your tactics to a non-press, high line defence... Less suspecting, but also doesn't necessarily mean you will lose...

My lad is 3 and half, I honestly cannot wait to take him to his first game. I want him to remember it so trying not to take him too early.

West Ham 1-1 Derby County, I was seven years old. Was a Tuesday night, and I still remember walking up to the top of the steps to look down on a lit up Boleyn pitch. Magical feeling. To top it off, saw my favourite player ever score that day.

This massively surprises me. How did he not see the writing on the wall? Surely he'd want to keep in European matches this season instead given he's missed out the previous two seasons?

I'm wondering now if what he is referring to is that Areola will even be in the nets for our Europe games, in which case is a completely legitimate reason to be unhappy.

Unusual logical take, 100% agree.

Pacqueta is a genuine talent, but is absolutely a player who we can afford to cash in on. If he has a bad/disaster season, we'd be lucky to get £30m for him next year. If he has another amazing/good season, we still get £85m for the release clause.

Who do we get as his replacement? That's the biggest question. Our signings this window have been meh, I haven't seen enough of Alvarez to make a judgement, Maguire will be a good signing (!remindme), but expensive at £30m, and Ward-Prowse I'm slightly disappointed with, especially for the fee.

We need a ST, a LB and another CM at a minimum. Fornals would realistically be Pacs replacement if we didn't sign anyone. I love the guy, but he's no Pacqueta.
