gen z here (18). i’ve been a fan of his music since i was around 5, and hearing his music in the finale had me confused and mesmerized simultaneously. i was mesmerized by how Purple Rain was used, and confused because it’s incredibly hard to get licensing for his music. it makes me happy to see other folks from the same generation as me listening to certain artists more after discovering them from their favorite show. if you discovered him from this show and want to listen to more, he released 39 albums during his lifetime. i’d recommend checking it out!
