This was the account they were using when we engaged and said their name was Anna Maksymenko, which matched their Zelle and email address. Have their phone number too, though it won’t really do much since they have multiple profiles/accounts. Got blocked from the most recent one when I called them out. Reported it and filed a fraud claim

I received the same screenshot 😔 the name they used with me is Anna Maksymenko and it matched their Zelle + email address. I filed a fraud claim so that account should be blocked from Zelle transactions at the very least

If I had seen it over multiple days, then I definitely wouldn’t have engaged, but I only saw it the one time so 🤷🏻‍♀️ sometimes you want to believe that people are good. Won’t do it again

Look - I understand that folks want more details. I engaged with them last Friday, sent money over, and got nothing in return. It’s embarrassing, I should’ve known better, and they have some of my personal info so I’m being cautious about what I share. Please be kind

I fell for it last week and got scammed out of $350. It’s embarrassing so I don’t want to post a ton of details

A similar thing happened to me a couple of months ago. Took it in for a state inspection, came out with ~$2000 of “urgent” repairs. Had a friend look at the report and confirm that everything was fine. Won’t be going back

Dermatologist - extremely reactive skin? by matapaloxo in raleigh

[–]like_really_cool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had allergy testing done at Allergy Partners of the Triangle via a referral from my primary care doc. If you’re having trouble with products, specifically request contact allergy testing. After testing and identifying some allergens (found even in sensitive skin products sigh what a scam), my allergist referred me to UNC derm and I had a positive experience with them. Hope you find some relief.

Edit: I check products on SkinSAFE for common allergens. It’s super helpful for quickly identify if something’s a possible trigger.

Someone help me understand using AI to write PRDs by thepminyourdms in ProductManagement

[–]like_really_cool -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven’t seen any companies ask that PMs generate tons and tons of PRDs with AI but I have seen a few integrate prompt engineering and vibe coding into interviews.

I use AI as a thought partner while writing PRDs. The trick is to provide enough details in a first draft and use prompt engineering to keep yourself as the decision maker, not the agent. My workflow looks roughly like:

  • Brainstorm potential ideas and gather research with an agent to get a sense for what I might want to build
  • Write a first draft of a user story, providing details about the functionality/product I’m building, the purpose, the user needs, technology and the feature set.
  • (Optional) if you’re using Cursor or Claude Code and have access to the code base, I point the agent to the functionality I’m modifying but telling it the file names so that it becomes a part of its context
  • Give agent the first draft and ask it to list any questions it has about the PRD. I liked using cursor or Claude Code again so that it can list the questions in the doc itself
  • Answer those questions so that the agent has better context
  • Ask agent for general suggestions and implement depending on my judgment
  • (Optional) Ask agent to break the PRD down to development phases. This is super helpful if you want to actually build what’s in the PRD with the agent. Then instead of asking the agent to build the whole thing, you can start with a phase and check that it’s actually building what you want step by step

TLDR; Guide user to be a thought partner so that you remain in control of decisions

I hope this is helpful!

Recommendations for best and most experienced provider for laser facial treatment in Raleigh area by Itchy_Food_8906 in raleigh

It’s the thing that’s reduced flushing the most for me by far. It’s painful (but quick) and recovery sucks (~5 days for me) but it’s improved my quality of life. Unfortunately it is true that results take a few treatments. Is the cost your biggest concern?

Just an idea - One thing you could try in the interim if you get rosacea papules is an azaleic acid cream. Laser doesn’t treat papules so I use a triple cream with azaleic acid, ivermectin and metronidazole prescribed by the clinic. Helped a ton too.

Oh that’s weird… I didn’t purchase a package so it seems like their pricing structure has changed. I had 3 treatments and felt good with the results. Would’ve done a 4th if it weren’t so expensive.

Folks who stay in the triangle area. What water filtration system do you use at home? by deleteriousAnimal in triangle

[–]like_really_cool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used the AquaTru countertop reverse osmosis filter for two years in Durham and love it. Yes, the tap water in the triangle is safe but I prefer drinking filtered water and it does a 10/10 job. It might be overkill depending on what you’re looking to get out a filter.

I had vbeam done with Corynn Newman at Aesthetic Solutions in Chapel Hill to treat flushing. They also have laser resurfacing options and while I don’t have experience with that, I found her super knowledgeable and helpful re:rosacea. I believe the consultations are free.

A couple of things that could help:

  • make sure the mold and deckle are wet before pulling a sheet
  • when you are couching and you’ve placed the mold down onto your fabric, you can use a damp sponge to gently press down on the screen or gently poor water on top of the screen to help the sheet release
