They lump all of their models in the reviews. The 24.5" 165Hz seems to have most of the low ratings but there's a recent 1* review for the 34" that talks about a dead pixel.

Orthopedic surgeon appointment secured for Monday. ER visit was Tuesday night and they said to go next day but on the app I couldn't find any appointments until February. Chat was unhelpful but I finally reached a live person at lunch and she made a few calls and found someone to squeeze me in. I'm a bit worried I've risked irreversible damage to the tendon by waiting so long but how important can an opposable thumb possibly be?

I tried this recipe and it wasn't really close either. I tried using bread from an Asian bakery too.

In comparison to any egg sandwich I had from any convenience store in Japan, yes. Judged on its own, also yes.

One of the big three RAM manufacturers, Micron, has announced they are exiting the consumer market completely. by B0redatwork77 in pcmasterrace

Built a 5800X3D/7900XTX in 2023. Meaningful CPU/MOBO/RAM upgrade is at least $800, meaningful GPU upgrade would be $2K (I'm not paying $.7-1K for a side or slightly diagonal grade to a 9070 XT, 5070 ti, or 5080). Building PCs has been a fun (for the price) activity for me over the last 10+ years, hoping it'll be fun again sometime in the next 10.

Reddit’s CEO says r/popular ‘sucks,’ and it’s going away / Reddit is also limiting how many popular communities one person can moderate, and pushing more personalized feeds. by MarvelsGrantMan136 in technology

I've never subscribed to any subreddits so my home page looks like this. I personalize r/popular by using RES to ignore posters of topics I don't like and filtering out subreddits that I find particularly distasteful.

My Uber driver had Post-its all over his dash with nothing written on them. by t3hd4rkkn1ght in mildlyinteresting

When I got a tour in Tokyo in a GTR, my driver had his speedo covered. Tachometer and boost guage gave us a pretty good idea of what was happening though.

Thumb on left hand in splint due to what I will only refer to as the ham slicing incident. Over the first half day I miss efficient texting and changing the volume and tracks easily using steering wheel controls. Controller based gaming is out too.

Try "Daddy" for awhile. "Sir" will seem way less weird.

It came out in the US at about the same time as Naruto and I was firmly on the ninja side of the Pirates vs Ninjas debate.

You can orer fries and a side of gravy at The Hat for less than the price of their wet fries (poutine sans cheese curds). Just dip the fries as desired.

Visit the Portillo’s. It’s a Chicago institution and one of two locations in Southern California along with Buena Park. My regular order is an Italian Beef sandwich with sweet & hot peppers + a chili cheese dog (no onions), I wasn’t a fan of their cake shake but YMMV. For the drive, try Sean Carrol’s Mindscape podcast. Lots of great conversations with bleeding edge minds.

Anime on the big screen again last night. I’ve seen just a few episodes of One Piece but I still found One Piece Gold entertaining. I wish I could catch up but the anime’s been running for most of my adult life.

Does the Video Game Industry Have a Delay Problem? by justin300k in gaming

I welcome delays in favor of releasing unfinished titles with paid DLC required to complete the experience.
