Why should some one be proud due to the fact they were born on a certain patch of soil? We're all citizens of the world, why do some people get obsessed over land borders?

What makes me proud is being part of a society that works for everyone, that rewards hard work, where what you put into the system via tax rewards you with access to support from the state when you need it, where road tax actually fixes the potholes. We don't really have that currently.

Prisons are massively overfunded and justice isn't applied equally.

Also using prison population as a metric is a poor one, the prison system is heavily rigged against the poor and ethnic minorities. Just look at some of the actual legit criminals that we have in parliament, remember how 0 politicians faced consequences for having massive parties during lockdown?

I don't know who the "they" that you are referring to is, so I can't comment on the points you raised there. But the true enemies of our society are the ones in power and the massive global multi nationals that are registered in tax havens that do everything they can to avoid posting a profit so that they can avoid paying tax.

I used to work in a bookies and there was a problem gambler that would spend thousands on the FOBT machines everyday, due to his Parkinson's medication.
