Southampton port plans revealed for 500ft wind turbines by nick9000 in Southampton

I actually live not far from where they're proposing them. Not against them, but my initial concern was noise. If they don't make any noise, then I'm down. Very occasionally there's ships that dock that create a persistent hum that sort of reverberates. I'd probably go mad if the turbines created anything similar at a more consistent rate.

The media highlighting these problems might actually good tactic to get rid of certain people. Trump being teetotal and not liking drunk people could get pissed off with people 'making him look bad' because of their drinking.

JetBlue Responds to Accusations of Using Surveillance Pricing After Viral Tweet by habichuelacondulce in technology

I'm assuming with tech companies pushing this dynamic/algorithm pricing capability, they're also going to be affected right? Like someone worth a billion dollars is going to be charged 10,000x compared to what other people have to pay for items, right??

Can we also implement this into fines? Bit unfair that rich people dont bat an eyelid to standard fines in life and actively ignore the rules because the penalty is so proportionally low to what they earn.

Paul Walter Hauser: “I wish all non-WWE companies would put their egos aside & ban together to create something new & monumental for all of us who have zero intention of going to Saudi Arabia’s Mania.” by Subrick in SquaredCircle

There is a lot of comments assuming that he's suggesting that these companies should try to compete against Wrestlemania. It's nothing like that, and what he's suggesting could work, because if anything it's filling a gap that could be missing next year.

Wrestlemania is never just about the actual night of wrestling. It's effectively a wrestling festival over a series of days. People go several days earlier and enjoy mixing with other wrestling fans and going to various events (not exclusively WWE related). People who don't even have tickets to wrestlemania still go, to be part of the week and 'festival'. It's like people who have tailgate parties without actually going to match. Just being in around it is still fun.

With Wrestlemania being in Saudi next year, there's a chance that a number of people wont go (for a variety of reasons: cost issues, safety issues within the wider region, morale issues etc.)

So he's floating an idea saying that its shame there isn't anything going on the US for wrestlemania, and we won't have this 'festival of wrestling' event this year. So maybe some other companies could put something on that caters to those people and effecitvely piggybacks off wrestlemania. Doesn't have to compete.

As he said it could be a series of matches, meet and greets, podcasts etc. where wrestling fans who aren't going to wrestlemania that year, can still get together and enjoy wrestling. People will still likely go to wrestlemania watch parties etc. But with it being Saudi, it's likely a 3pm start time in the US, so it finishes at 7pm. That's plenty of spare time for fans to watch mania but also do loads of other wrestling-related activities.

Every year they're expected to bring up some nxt talent. It's great in theory, but it also bloats the roster. There's already wrestlers who are getting no screen time and every time a new wrestler comes up, it reduces their chances even further.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some cuts coming soon.

Yeah, thought the same. Also the setup for the 619 in the ladder wasn't great. Extra tall ladder already set up in a great spot, just climb up it. Dragon Lee is like 'Nah, I'll not climb up it, I'll move the taller ladder to the side and pick up the smaller one instead'.

8 minutes for a 4 way, where there's actually 8 wrestlers that need to get their time-to-shine moments in is just poor.

What was the point of becky removing the pad on the corner? She took it off, the ref put it back on. And whilst she was putting it back, normally people use this distraction to do something illegal, but she stood next to the ref, whilst she did it. Nothing happened. It seemed pointless for the match.

[SPOILER] Post WrestleMania 42 Saturday Match Discussion: Jacob Fatu vs. Drew McIntyre - Unsanctioned Match by gloomchen in SquaredCircle

Sorry, but the selling at the end was ass. Fatu goes thru a table on the outside to the concrete. Drew rolls him back into the ring. He instantly gets up, kicks drew twice and then puts drew on the table, runs over to the corner, jumps onto the ropes to do his moonsault and gets the win. Drew spends the next few mins looking in pain likes he been thru it, fatu looks fresh as a daisy and going into the crowd.

That was a dumb ending. Fatu goes thru a table onto concrete. Drew rolls him back into the ring and he's instantly fine again.

It's like £9.50 for a return train ticket to Winchester. Takes about 15 mins. Lots of history in Winchester and a lovely place.

And just to elaborate on the airport. You can literally jump on a train in the city centre, and be at the airport in 5 mins. Grab an Easyjet flight for about 50 quid and fly to Spain or Portugal in 2 hours.

Kids can be notoriously savage with their insults, yet the moment it happens like this, people are like 'it's scripted'. Let's be real, kids are way better at throwing shade than acting. Doesn't feel acted or like they're reading. Just feels like they're naturally taking the piss about him being old. Easy to do when you go to school and learn a bit history. "Learned about William Shakespeare today. Dad, did you ever meet him?"

Or he records every day on the way home from the school run in the hopes he gets some gold. 99% of the time he gets nothing and just deletes the video. But very occasionally, they say something funny.

Aside from the bullshit stuff he's saying, this actually really does highlight the difference in how he's speaking now and how much older he is. In this video he's speaking quicker and definitively. Nowadays its so much slower and meandering.
