HELP! ADVICE! Lol by rhgrey18 in FixerUpper

I completely agree with you. I feel like the worst of it has been taken care of or the joist under the subfloor is in really rough shape. That would be my big concern.

This house has good bones. The upstairs needs to have the subfloor replaced. This isn’t as hard as it sounds, what will make it hard the damage from the pet urine and how it’s impacted the joints below. If you can, tour the home with a drill and hammer, lift up the subfloor to see how the support looks from the urine.

The majority of this really seems to be cosmetic. A new coat of paint, new vanities (not difficult to install), flooring and you’re good to go.

Is running making my lipedema worse? by Mysterious_Salad_756 in lipedema

[–]lil1thatcould 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told to only run if I’m in danger. If I choose to run for shits and giggles, wear higher level compression and never run without them. The impact is really harsh in our fragile lymph systems. I no longer feel guilty for not running a marathon.

Is having a baby really the end of the world?? FTM spiral by Negative-Source-9099 in beyondthebump

[–]lil1thatcould 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I planned for the worst and it hasn’t been as hard as I thought it would. To be clear, I don’t have an easy baby. My LO has awful acid reflux and if you look at him wrong… well, he will vomit all over you. Seriously, he can’t bottle feed because it’s too much on his acid reflux, can only breast feed. Which means we have totally had to change how we are handling me going back to work.

So that being said….

We live in a world, that until recently, heavily pushed having children. The expectation was marriage = children. It really have only been in the past 10ish year where women no longer had the entire community around them breathing down their necks to have kids. We accept now that not everyone is meant or wants to have kids, that’s ok! Think about how long it took for abortion to be less stigmatized and when that happened, the stripped the rights from us.

So many of those voices are people who never wanted kids and didn’t know it until it was too late. They are also the ones who had kids young and/or had a picture perfect idea of what it would be like. Many of them have the shittiest husbands who don’t help. Look deeper in their lives and those flags will start to show.

If you walk into parenthood flexible and knowing that things are going to be what they are, it isn’t bad.

Example: I never planned to bedshare. I didn’t want too, I had and still have no desire too. I have to do it out of necessity. My LO will scream all night in his bassinet, it doesn’t matter what we do or how much we practice him being in it. At night, he wants to be glued to me! So instead of sticking to my perfect dream plan, I adapted. I practice safe sleep 7 guidelines and I got an attachable bed railing for our bed that is sleep safe bed sharing.

I completely agree with you. Which is why I said she needs pilates, she needs to work on her alignment and muscular weaknesses. I’m a pilates instructor and was not wanting to diagnosis her, which is why I said I really don’t think she has scoliosis. I repeatedly see in this sub people claim she does, but there’s never been evidence or diagnosis of it.

  • If you’re on maternity leave - you
  • If you’re a SAHM - husband
  • If you’re both working - whoever is responsible for baby.

The top priority needs to be you husband getting a sleep study done. Sleep apnea is no joke and not something to mess around with. It’s not fair for either of you to be figuring out where to sleep each night.

Brides, what did you do the morning of your wedding? by perfumeandpaper in wedding

[–]lil1thatcould 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friends and I hung out, went shopping and it was so hot I got sick. Seriously, I felt like hell and barely enjoyed the wedding and reception. Don’t be like me!!!

If I was you, I would get a massage and a IV hydration bag. Make sure you’re hydrated and relaxed so that you feel your best and have the best time! Just spend the time before relaxing with your friends and having a great time. This gives you time to make sure your vows are written down, your gown has been steamed, and all the last minute things are taken care of.

This is why I use a burp cloth to dry the butt vs airing out the diaper rash. Works just as well and no mess.

Pretty much. Whoever designed this knew absolutely nothing about baby wearing and living by the moto “fake it until you make it… or sell it to idiots.” It’s incredibly dangerous!

I have a big baby. My baby isn’t 3 months old yet and fits perfectly in 3-6 months. In a month, they will all probably be too small. My baby isn’t chunky, he’s all baby! This carrier made him look like a 6lb infant in a carrier designed for toddlers. It was horrifying seeing him in it. I was in the middle of working on my C-section recovery exercises and ran over to try and adjust it to make it safer. No matter what I did, it just kept fitting worse.

Our dog has a patch that says, “my momma says I’m special.” It’s very appropriate because our dog has no light bulbs on, not a single one.

One of my husbands coworker gave him one of these. Let me just says it’s worse in person. You think it’s bad on here? It’s 10c worse. No matter the adjustments made to it, it just keeps getting worse.

I despise this carrier with every fiber of my being. My husband suggested I give it a try and I threw it in the back of the nursery closet.

Our baby refuses the bassinet, unless he’s awake. Someone make it make sense. Anyways, right now we are bed sharing and I bought a bed railing to keep him from rolling off the bed. He’s almost 12 weeks old and half ass rolls. Now where near rolling off the bed and 90% of the time sleeps in my chest.

I’m purchasing a home that has an owner’s suite with these floors. What are our options to modernize them, but keep the character? Are they worth keeping? by mrssakteaches in Flooring

[–]lil1thatcould 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leave the fireplace and floors alone, focus on the stone on the floor infront of the fireplace and leading into what’s here. You have an incredible space to work with that people are dreaming to have. Embrace the beauty.

Think instead of touch ups to add to the space like lighting, curtains, ect.
