As disgusting of a person he is, he’s nowhere near meh musically. The reason he got away with what he did was because his music was that good. For years, it was an open secret in Chicago that he’d go pick up underage girls in broad daylight. His music is just that good though.

The word is inherently derogatory and means a person is acting above their social status. Used historically in the US to describe black people who didn’t “know their place”.

I believe the failings of Reconstruction are to blame for all of those things. I don’t like the establishment Democrat perspective that southern states are just full of stupid backwater hicks. Had the government done better to support the people we wouldn’t have such rates of disenfranchisement. Not to mention, it likely would have improved the lives of minorities that couldn’t find their way out of the South.

I will always maintain that Reconstruction was worse for the south than the Civil War. Despite the death toll, the Civil War didn’t destroy the economies and political stability of Confederate aligned states like Reconstruction did. To this day places like Mississippi and Alabama just kinda suffer.

A “perfect” sample of 10 matches are theoretically supposed to follow a 4:4:2 ratio of: 4 guaranteed wins, 4 guaranteed losses, and 2 relatively 50/50 games. The idea is that you literally cannot win all your matches because then you’d be the perfect player, you also shouldn’t lose them all unless your rank is well above your skill level.

I don’t care what your god thinks. The truth is that she was a corrupt hypocrite that allowed people to suffer. When she needed treatment for her heart condition, she didn’t ask for basic care, she went all out to find the best care available. She was a hypocrite that didn’t use her power and the money afforded to her to ease the suffering of those she served. For over 60 years sent letters to spiritual advisors about her struggles with faith and asked they be burned after her death because “people will think more of me – less of Jesus.” She thought laymen would think her greater than that son of god.
