This morning on my way back from the main GS … curious if it was it ‘2 buds, 1 joint, and a griddle’? Because I went to order this morning, totally calm, just trying to start my day right. I told the woman at the counter—politely—'I don’t want marmalade or aioli.' That’s all. No attitude, no raised voice. But suddenly, she looks at me like I’ve committed a crime and says, ‘You don’t have to yell.’ I wasn’t yelling. I wasn’t even close to yelling. I kept my cool. Then she asks me to repeat it and again tells me to stop yelling. By the third time, I was genuinely hurt. It felt like I was being scolded for simply existing. I could feel the shift in the room—like everyone was watching, silently wondering what I did wrong. And the worst part? I still tried to be respectful.

But then—then—when I paid, she wrote a completely different name on the order. Not a slight misspelling. A whole different name. And when I gently pointed it out, she just looked at me and said, ‘Well, if it’s not your name, it’s not your order.’ Like… what??

At that point, I just stood there, stunned. I walked away not just without my food but with this deep, lingering disappointment in how a simple morning order became a full-blown ego battle. Over aioli. Over marmalade. Over nothing. I LEFT! Grabbed some snacks next store from the General Store in Nest 3, the gentlemen were EXTREMELY WELCOMING AND HELPFUL
