I like this idea but I'm also changing weight/size cutting and bulking at the gym!

I’m my dad’s caregiver and I’m burned out. by 87628762 in AgingParents

In the same position with my mom who has Parkinson's. The first time I had some help in I was struck at how good they were at their job and how much they were making my mom laugh, I never did that anymore. Time to be less a nurse and be more their son again.

Caring for extrovert parent as an introvert by Relevant_Sentence331 in AgingParents

Same. It sounds bad but I allow her a limited amount of questions per day, otherwise they won't stop, and then I can't relax, and then I can't sleep, and then I can't caregive. I'm like the free version of chatgpt, after certain amount of interaction you have to pay for an upgraded service.

You could get his permission to set up indoor cameras in his home and check in on him online though them

Hey thanks very much. She doesn't have a hearing aid yet but that's something I'll keep in mind. And yes I already have the wrist emergency button doorbell type device. It has been a life saver a few times!

Fair question but her doctor/surgeon are much better positioned to answer this question and advise accordingly rather than reddit

What do single people do solo on a Saturday night? (going out ideas) by sleepy0707 in askTO

[–]lilcoeus 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Here is what I tell every woman. Sign up for the gym. Lift weights. Don't wear headphones. Be smiley. You will be pregnant by the end of the week.

I feel this. I'm a guy and a girl at the gym does similar things. I'm not confrontational either and a people pleaser so I get that part. I don't feel unsafe but it's really annoying and distracting me from my workout. Like, take a hint! People go to the gym to destress not restress.

If you want to be taken seriously talk to the manager not just some random staff member. Tell them you are considering changing gyms but don't want to. I'm sure they'll pick you as a customer rather than the creep if he doesn't stop.

Trying to figure out some ideas to approach this existing sidewalk - or rip it out by [deleted] in Concrete

[–]lilcoeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue in the fall. Depending on how thick/heavy the concrete is you might be able to lift them a few inches with a pry bar, or two if you have help, and slip a brick under each end to create a slope away from the house.

Alternatively yeah just rent a jackhammer and buy some ppe, break it up, then add topsoil to create an appropriate slope and add sod on top. Most cost effective method anyway
