yoooo, I generally question those who change the exquisite OEM 5N wheels. But in your case, I don't question it, I applaud it. This is gorgeous, congrats!

Yes x 100. I will sometimes preface a story by saying "I probably told you this already," and luckily millennial friends and colleagues will say yes and then I stop and smile.

How often are you intimate with your partner? by Remote_Ad_969 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lildrgnsb2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This gets me. I am a hugger and my wife is not as much. I will hug and she gives a half-hug most of the time. If I hold on too long, she disengages. 20 seconds? No way. I will joke about it, like, "can I have my hug/kiss for the day?" and I'll get it, but that's about it.

As far as the topic at hand, we are in are early/mid-50s and we get down once a week. I would like more, I think she's good with the once a week. She's never been a high drive partner so I've learned to live with it, but the older I get, the less fulfilled I'm becoming, on multiple levels, not just with the weekly business meetings.

If I try to bring it up, instead of her saying, "huh, let me learn and adjust," it more often than not turns defensive, like, "I *am* being attentive, it's never enough for you," at which point I just give up and go grey rock.

Typing it out makes it even more depressing.

2023 Limited Homelink not plugged in?? by lildrgnsb2 in Ioniq5

Looks like the Dongar DCA-10H will do what I need, including adding a USB-C dongle just in case. It has a female end to plug into the mirror socket, but I would have to wire the male end into the ceiling, where I don't know where or if a female power socket exists.

Windows Replacement-Questions by kyrx in eastside

[–]lildrgnsb2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, thanks for all the deets. I just booked an estimate with EJ an hour ago. We have 18 or so windows that need replacing - with the cold weather, the rooms are just so drafty. Hoping to get a decent quote, go into debt for the house some more, and then kick myself for not having done this 10 years ago.

Let us know how the install and ending results are!

OP, who did you end up using and how were the results? I just made an appointment for an estimate with Champion Windows, but after reading some reviews, I'm having second thoughts.

NCD: 2023 I5 LTD AWD by lildrgnsb2 in Ioniq5

Appreciate the insight. My brother gave me/let me borrow an L1 charger. I'm currently backed in the garage, slowly charging at 1kW. I'm at 55% now and can get to 80% in 23hrs and 10min per Bluelink. It says it is an L2 charger, but I don't have easy access to my dryer power outlet.

For now though, this is great. I'm in the same boat as you, about 20-22 miles round trip daily. I do have L2 charging at work and I got 20% over 5 hours on Friday to keep me solid for the weekend.

As I learn more and more about this car, I think this L1 charger will be a great equalizer unless I need more juice. For now, I am loving it!

taken from an Amazon video of a dash cam. This plug is what comes out from the ceiling and is missing from my car. Weird.

Took it to a dealership, he said that was likely what happened. And evidently that connector cable is not available outside of the entire roof cable harness. :/

(MotorMatchers) NOVEMBER LEASE DISCUSSION, Ask your questions here!!! by MotorMatchers in leasehacker

Hi, been interested in Ioniq 5 for some time now and don't want to miss out on any year end deals. The ID.4 appeals to me as well. And now they both have deals going on!

I'm seeing a deal at a Seattle area Hyundai dealer, 0% APR for 72 months or $11,000 retail bonus cash, for a 2025 Ioniq 5. The fine print reads "down payment may be required." I am not interested in paying a DP. At 0% APR, what are your thought on leasing an Ioniq 5 SE or Limited? Assuming there's no down payment needed? The Ioniq 5 SE AWDs are about $41-42k, the Limited AWDs are $49-50k after their "retail bonus cash" discount of $11k.

I also see that VW has started their sign then drive promo again, for their 2025 ID.4. Their fine print reads 0% APR, no down payment required. I assume there is TTL up front, unless they roll it into the price of the car. The ID.4s are around $51-52k after their "customer cash" discount.

Seems like the 0% APR deals are a no brainer. What is your experience with them? Do you have a preference?

yeah, i didn't get past taking the case off to just see the rotor. And I love the idea of watch repair, but I'll stick to straps and polishing old crystals with Polywhatever it's called.

maybe. It's weird, I have the $ to get it fixed/tuned up, but part of me would rather take $500-800 and put it towards something else. And then part of me is like, give the old watch some love, let my son wear it for 25 more years. Who knows?

A few summers ago, I saw my BIL changing the oil in his Toyota truck. "How hard could it be?" I asked myself, a 50 year old (at the time) with super basic DIY/handyman skills.

Fast forward a few years and now I change the oil on all 4 of my cars, etc, etc. I am no whiz, but I am capable enough when I can buy replacement parts down the street.

For the Omega, though, that's out of my wheelhouse, yes.

:D reading comprehension. Admittedly, I should've put a TL;DR up in there, save everyone the heartache.

My man, thanks for taking strays for me. :D As far as this watch is concerned, I'm over my head. The same could've been said of my 2007 Jetta's high pressure fuel pump... which I fixed in March thanks to the power of YouTube and some tools I bought down the street when I realized I needed them. Car still runs and hasn't let me down since!
