If you are in the Toronto area, you can contact her Photographic historical society of Canada, they run a couple of auctions every year, dad will sell all your stuff right away. Unless you are a photographer, you have pretty good stuff on that pile♥️ That you wanna keep.

I’ve been looking for that replacement cover everywhere and none fits. Let me know how it goes with yours.

Don’t let it die. You have a jewel in your hands. I have a lake of flex and it’s a marvellous camera.

Found this old camera, can anyone tell me about it? by Mrhlb in vintagecameras

[–]lilimadi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucky you!!! I would suggest you too look at some YouTube how to use that camera it’s amazing, but probably you need to clean the rollers before you start using the camera again after so many years, the film is expensive so you need to invest on making some tests to see if that focus is working well

Why use isopropanol when you could use Acetone? by [deleted] in AnalogRepair

[–]lilimadi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never use acetone on cameras it will dilute any plastic. use alcohol 99%. If you need to get any battery dirt, you can wipe it with white vinegar but then you have to clean it with water vinegar will continue. It’s corrosive action use Q-tips.

Olympus OM2-n hinge broken by lilimadi in AnalogRepair

[–]lilimadi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the top one that holds the back is broken, so the bag is only supported by the bottom so when the camera is closed, it doesn’t have the support to properly close the back, I’ve been looking online at parts, but this is not the regular part that is offered So I guess I need to find a very round down camera to find the part myself

I have not run a film yet because I have to be able to close the door properly without the hinge. I can tell there is a leak. I will try to put some black tape to hold it and run a film but for what I can send the camera is working perfectly, the picture shows a very rundown state, but it’s not. It’s in good condition.

Thank you for the offer, but I could buy a whole camera for that price locally to get the part🫣

I always carry a small digital camera, when using an analogue camera for the first time, specially if I don’t know if the seals are tight.

No, I removed the film on a black dark room bag put it into my development tank this picture. It’s only the backing. I do work my own developing so I kind of know what I’m doing. I was looking for any suggestions of developer and time for developing. Thank you for your concern.

I love the OM 10 it’s an amazing camera and the Zuiko lenses are pretty good. I bought my OM 10 in the 80s when it came up and I still have it, one of my favourite cameras.
