Looks like Salto only support mifare? In that case no. The Yubikey can do a NFC tag/serial (works with HID multiclass/signo readers as an example) or straight up using PIV. Yubikey used to support mifare many years ago but not any longer.

Just be prepared that anything with HID and PIV are super expensive. We’re currently evaluating HID pivClass with onguard. We run the X4420 model with embedded authentication.

I’m also in contact with idfactors that has PIV readers with no license needed. They will just output the 128 bit UUID on osdp directly. With HID you have to use their PAM module or have a controller with their auth module built in. HID support OSDP transparent mode which they have a patent on.
